As a project manager within our Property Service, you will oversee a portfolio of high-profile corporate projects. Your focus will be on projects related to the council's corporate buildings, offices, and depots.
These are newly created roles to help the council deliver its ambitious programme. Particular expertise in property and construction, decarbonisation or organisational transformation would be an advantage.
We have a Local Plan for growth, a £70m regeneration programme and an ambitious £100m affordable housing programme. We are also planning the major rationalisation of our office and depot space across the district to make it ready to meet the challenges of the future. These programmes are significant corporate priorities. They will make a real difference to the quality of life and opportunity for local people and to the operational efficiency of the council.
The role of Project Manager provides a great opportunity for the right person to be part of our ambitious team, and to deliver outstanding outcomes for the council and local people. Our focus is on delivery within a fit for purpose control and governance environment. You will need to be an experienced project manager, with the proven ability to create, lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary team, from across the council and its contractors and consultants.
