We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Sefton to assist with the appointment of a HR Business Partner, on a 2-week contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £18.55 - £23.20 per Hour
Responsibilities:
Ensure that the Councils sickness absence procedures are managed efficiently and effectively and that the procedures are fully adhered to and that liaison with TU representatives is conducted as appropriate.
Ensure managers and other supervisory staff are fully conversant with the sickness absence policy and procedures and have completed the necessary mandatory training. Produce communications to staff, training and awareness briefing as required.
Undertake in-depth analysis of the sickness absence data and produce statistical reports for management as required.
Ensure reasonableness and equality in all aspects of decision-making relative to the implementation of the sickness absence processes.
Ensure that a robust methodology is maintained relative to the sickness absence procedures and that any failure to adhere to the procedures is effectively managed to the ensure future compliance.
Qualifications:
Level 2, or equivalent, in English and Maths
experience in a Generalist HR Role or ability to demonstrate related experience
Experience of negotiating/consultation and handling employee relations issues and liaison with Trade Union representatives

This role requires a basic DBS
