An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated CCAB part-qualified Accountant to join the finance team. Through a team of accountants the post holder is required to produce monthly budget statements and financial reports for agreement with the HoF for presentation at service area board meetings and to feed into the Trust’s position for internal and external corporate reporting.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Newham Hospital to lead in the acute assessment of patients admitted into the Emergency Department, as well as our Acute Assessment Unit and our Older Persons Wards. NICU

NTS - Neonatal Transfer service

This fellow job has come up as part of the NICU expansion in which we have opened 45 cots to provide all levels of neonatal care at the Royal London Hospital. We are a tertiary centre and take referrals from all over the North East London region.

The posts will be for a period of 12 months with further extension depending upon the clinical performance

Training will be provided as appropriate for the individual in accordance with the syllabus for trainees in neonatal medicine following discussion with their educational supervisor. In general training opportunities occur in the context of:

Consultant led ward rounds twice daily
Registrar led ward rounds in second half of post dependent on experience
Practical supervision
Concise topic teaching two mornings per week
Dedicated X-ray meeting
A weekly academic ward round and case presentation/seminar
Training in cranial ultrasound and echocardiography

Specialist clinics: Neurodevelopmental/Respiratory/Cardiology
3 hours protected teaching per week

Weekly general paediatric teaching sessions covering a wide range of topics
Regular multidisciplinary simulation training

A dedicated service for neonatal transport in London is based at The Royal London Hospital. The team functions autonomously but there are opportunities for individuals to rotate into the transport service for periods of time to receive training and experience in this field of neonatal care.

With the implementation of ward based dispensaries for all wards and a pre-admission drug history service, you will assist the team in further developing the continued expansion of the service and implementing initiatives in line with the Carter review.

You will gain experience in counselling patients, conducting audits and ensuring optimal medicines management across the site.

This is a 6 month fixed term role based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, working 37.5hours per week including 1 in 5 weekends.

There is a need for close coordination with the wider specialist MDT to pre plan medicines required for our patients at ward level through the implementation of an efficient medicines management system. We are looking to recruit Senior Clinical Fellow Posts in:

Advance Training Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a specialist interest in high-risk obstetrics and obstetric governance

The post-holder must be a senior clinical fellow with interests, clinical skills and knowledge in high-risk obstetrics. The primary clinical work area will be ambulatory obstetrics – high-risk maternity triage and the antenatal ward setting. There will be an opportunity for the post holder to maintain and develop their acute gynaecology skills to facilitate the completion of training / serve as evidence for portfolio development.

The post holder will have dedicated time to develop their obstetric scanning skills in the Fetal medicine unit and use these skills to manage obstetric patients in the ambulatory obstetric setting/ maternity triage.

The post holder should be within 12 months of CCT or CESR. There will be the opportunity for the successful applicant to undertake ATSMs /SITMS if they still need to start this and support the CESR application.

On call duties

The post-holder will participate in the on-call rota as a senior registrar (ST5-7 level) for both obstetrics and gynaecology – there will be additional support if required for complex surgical cases.

Senior Pharmacy Assistant, Chemotherapy Services Unit - Band 3

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and ambitious candidate who is looking to build a career in aseptic manufacturing, to join our busy chemotherapy manufacturing team at Barts Health NHS Trust. The post holder must be keen to learn and develop with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will undertake a wide variety of roles within the unit including, but not limited to aseptic preparation, stock management, training and in-process checking. The post holder will be based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital supporting our well established, dedicated chemotherapy manufacturing unit.

Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent). Previous experience of working in aseptic production is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. The post-holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary Optometry and Ophthalmology teams that provide comprehensive and quality ophthalmology services for the Trust.

You will be based in the Eye Treatment Centre at Whipps Cross University Hospital. The Eye Treatment Centre is a dedicated unit covering all ophthalmology specialties including vitreo-retinal, medical retina, glaucoma, cornea, oculo-plastics, paediatrics, neuro-ophthalmology and we also have a busy eye emergency service.

You will participate in the educational activities run by and for the Optical Services and Ophthalmology Departments. This includes the teaching of other health care professionals, medical undergraduates and junior doctors.
