We have a fantastic opportunity within the Luton Adult Learning department where you will teach on planned programmes and support the delivery and management of Learning Programmes. You will contribute in the development and delivery of Functional Skills.
Teaching commitments will be 800 hours per annum based on a 37hr working week contract. The teaching timetable will depend on curriculum responsibilities and will vary throughout the year dependent on service needs.
We are looking to recruit a teacher or trainer with current industry experience in Business Administration and/or Customer Service. We can offer the right person career progression and a professional teaching qualification.
About you
This is a public facing role so you will need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English.
Our ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate with adult learners with empathy and understanding. You must be able to converse with ease with members of the public and provide effective help or advice in accurate and fluent spoken English.
A passion for teaching is essential, as you’ll teach on planned programmes and support the delivery and management of Adult Skills/Community Learning Programmes.
You’ll support the maintenance, development and improvement of key learning and training opportunities to meet local needs, and local/national targets
You must hold a minimum Level 4 or above teaching qualification, or working towards. A minimum of Level 3 qualification in area of specialism. Award in Assessing Vocational Achievement (A1). A minimum level 2 English and maths qualification or willingness to work towards.
