As part of our Fuel Reactor & Reprocessing capability, you'll play a vital role in developing the UK fuel cycle in line with advances in new technology and new processes. As old reactors reach the end of their lifespan, we need experts like you, with the technical skills to virtually model scenarios that not only enable us to explore new ways of managing the inputs and outputs of reactors, but also pave the way for the implementation of smaller, cleaner revolutionary new reactors. This is a place where you can use your knowledge and expertise to do long term meaningful work for years to come.

An exciting opportunity to join the Advanced Fuels team who are developing the next generation nuclear fuels in support of the UK's net zero ambition. The role involves the manufacture and characterisation of advanced nuclear fuel material using modern facilities at NNL's Preston Laboratory and reporting the results to the customer to time, cost and quality.

The work is primarily laboratory-based where you will be operating bespoke fuel fabrication equipment to produce fuel material which is then characterised using a suite of cutting-edge analytical equipment such as scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetry, laser flash analysis and x-ray diffraction.

This role predominantly focuses on the production and characterisation of test pellets to ensure the quality of the fuel produced by Westinghouse Ltd meets regulatory as well as customer specifications.

The role supports the delivery of technical programmes of work to the customer on time to cost and to satisfactory quality, working closely with project managers and providing technical guidance and advice as required. NNL strives to develop and maintain a pipeline of skilled talent in order to ensure continued delivery to its long-term customers.

You will be required to work to high degrees of accuracy and with fixed timelines to meet customer deadlines and requirement, whilst maintaining good laboratory practice and complying with regulatory and company policies / procedures e.g. safety, risk, quality, security.

Main Responsibilities for Operations and Technical Support:

• Deliver technical work to the satisfaction of the customer to time, cost and quality.

Creative Support is a national, fast growing not-for-profit organisation providing support to individuals with a wide range of care needs. We have a new exciting role for a Senior Support Worker to join our team in Coppull, Chorley.



We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to work at our supported living service for adults with a learning disability, physical needs and support needs. The role will be to provide consistent, positive support. Each person holds their own tenancy and is supported to achieve independence and outcome-focused goals within their own person centred plan.

Senior Support Worker Duties:

To ensure that all of our service users receive high quality, individualised, person-centered support
To provide mentorship; support; guidance for the staff team working within the service
To develop warm and trusting relationships with service users and to encourage them to express their needs, views and concerns
Support the management of service delivery, effectively meeting the needs of the service users
You will be required to work in a flexible manner which may include working evenings and weekends

The Role

The City Council is excited to announce an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the Housing Systems Team at Lancaster City Council. In this role, you will provide a high level of support to colleagues across the service.

As a postholder, you will gain valuable experience of systems administration by maintaining existing systems and assisting in the rollout of a new IT system. You will collaborate with staff throughout the service to help develop streamlined processes and configure systems accordingly.

Whilst previous experience of systems administration is not required, the ideal candidate will possess strong IT skills, a keen eye for detail, the ability to manage their workload and meet deadlines, and a willingness to learn the job specific elements.

This is a full-time temporary position working 37 hours per week for 30 months. The Council currently operates an excellent Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post. Subject to the needs of the business, this may allow employees to work between the hours of 6.00am-10.30pm.

We can also offer a package of training, support, mentoring and opportunities for hybrid working, including two to three days of homeworking each week and use of the City Council’s offices.

Prestige Nursing East Lancashire is looking for new Night Care Assistants to join our growing team supporting individuals within their own homes and care settings.

Experience of working in care is preferred, but not essential but you will require access to your own vehicle - mileage is paid.

Having secured a significant amount of new work opportunities, we need compassionate, committed, caring staff to join our team and support our service users across the region.

We provide all new members with our mandatory training programme, and further client-specific training where necessary.

We offer our members a variety of work patterns with service users on care routes throughout Accrington, Blackburn, Burnley, Colne, Darwen, Nelson, and surrounding areas.

We endeavour to keep you working as close to home as possible, but you will require access to your own vehicle and a full UK driving licence.

The Role:

Tasks may include:

• Personal care tasks; including washing and toileting
• Administering medication
• Encouraging diet and fluid intake
• Promoting independence
• Completing documentation to a high standard
• Using Prestige's call monitoring service

Night Care Assistants are typically required to work between:

22:00 - 07:00
