The Accountant III, Complex Accounting role will analyze complex accounting transactions and positions in order to provide accurate and timely accounting guidance across the organization and to leadership.

The Corporate Controllers team has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Accounting Manager located in Midland, Michigan.  This position is a member of the Corporate Reporting group providing financial reporting and analysis to senior management. The Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate, transparent and comparable financial information is delivered in a timely manner to internal customers as well as provide analysis of financial results to support regulatory filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The incumbent will work closely with business and functional finance personnel as well as senior management.  This role requires excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. The incumbent will be required to respond quickly to requests from senior management. The individual in this role will serve as the Corporate Reporting subject matter expert for PVC (Price/Volume/Currency), Sales, Management Cash Flow, and depreciation and amortization (D&A) and is expected to own all related processes, reporting, and analysis and be able to articulate results and drivers to internal customers and senior leadership.

Critical areas of responsibility include:

• Preparation of PVC reporting and related sales analysis, as well as other ad hoc sales reporting and analysis.
• Preparation of Management Cash Flow.
• Depreciation and amortization reporting and analysis.
• Preparation and review of various other monthly and quarterly Corporate Reporting deliverables.

Summary of This Role

Performs a broad range of accounting functions with responsibility for accounting records in a small office or organization department. Assigns transaction codes to documents. Ensures documents being processed are included in the appropriate accounting period. Posts, balances, and closes subsidiary ledgers. Follows up on delinquent accounts receivable customers. SUMMARY:

This multifaceted position combines responsibilities in cost accounting and payroll management. The primary payroll duties involve overseeing daily and weekly time and attendance activities in KRONOS Dimensions, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, processing payroll-related data in SAP Payroll, and addressing team members' inquiries. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PAYROLL DUTIES:

• Assist plant supervision with daily and weekly time and attendance activities in KRONOS Dimensions.
• Monitor plant time analytics in KRONOS Dimensions and maintain process within tolerance.
• Provide training to new supervisors as needed.
• Ensure weekending payroll/T &A is completed per corporate policies.
• Process approved vacation, holiday, and sick pay into appropriate payroll system.
• Enter payroll deductions into SAP Payroll.
• Complete AskHR/Box Office tickets as needed.
• Assist team members with payroll questions/concerns and accessing AskHR.

COST ACCOUNTING DUTIES:

• Daily/weekly reporting to plant management.

• Provide support to plant management team, including monitoring processes in production areas.
• Assist plant management team with self-audits of critical processes determined by corporate accounting.

• Manage employee supply processes which includes boots, freezer jackets, cafeteria, and employee sales. Maintain inventory and ordering of office supplies, cafeteria supplies and miscellaneous employee supplies.

• Perform other duties and projects as they arise. Other duties include, but are not limited to records retention, enter PO receiving in SAP/Coupa and supporting HR with plant activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

• Risk reviews -  Contribute to the development of the annual Audit Plan for Information Technology Infrastructure audit in assessing technology infrastructure and systems, information security, access and data related  risk coverage across all audit groups. • Execute audits - Participate or manage the audit execution of technology related audits within the portfolio. Who you are

Key Role:

Provide auditing and compliance duties including Audit Readiness Support to the client. Continually analyze the client's overall enterprise audit readiness process design and provide recommendations on how effectiveness could be improved to mitigate conditions that could impair future audit preparedness.
