Being responsible for producing WTT/Long Term and Special Traffic traincrew diagrams ensures a robust, efficient resource plan for all of our Northern services.
You'll participate in staff consultations on diagrams, route instances and services changes. Give expert advice on crew impact during engineering blocks, and investigate and resolve daily operational issues.

Key Responsibilities
This is a varied and challenging role, but here is a taste of what your day-to-day activities could include:
Create and develop WTT and Special Traffic Traincrew diagrams within safety guidelines and deadlines.
Prepare staff consultation documents for WTT changes.
Assess diagram changes at pre-planning stage for updates and Traincrew agreements.
Communicate with Service Planning and Resource Planning teams to meet WTT and STP deadlines.
Generate schedule cards for short and long-term traincrew diagrams.
Manage and prioritise workload, ensuring timeframes meet resource peaks and troughs.
Use problem solving techniques to reduce staff car/taxi journeys, boosting efficiency and maximising the base resource.
Investigate operational incidents and report findings.
About You
We're looking for someone with an in-depth understanding of Traincrew agreements. Extensive knowledge of railway geography – routes, infrastructure, maintenance depots and with a strong operational background. Understanding of how to manage train schedules to optimise resource, reduce delays, and ensure the day to day delivery of our services.
You should also be able to demonstrate:
Strong numeracy, analytical and computer skills.
A customer-centric attitude and excellent communication skills.
Effective decision-making under pressure, ability to react and prioritize workload.
Ability to work efficiently within deadlines.
Ability to collaborate and coordinate in a team environment
