A substantive Consultant in Pain Management at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

This post will compliment an existing medical team of 5 Consultants and 1 Nurse Consultant.The job plan will involve 8 programmed activities (PA’s) each week across Pain and anaesthetics, the PA’s within the Pain Management element will comprise of Out-patient clinics , Operating session in the Day case unit and Multi-disciplinary meetings supporting the Palliative Care Team. As a patient-centred, clinically led organisation we expect our clinical partners to participate in care-pathway development, research, audit and teaching. The successful applicant will be allocated a mentor and be given time to understand the processes of the department.

The appointee will be expected to fulfil the following duties with the agreed Job Plan.

Clinical
• Provision with Consultant colleagues of a comprehensive elective service.
• Clinic and theatre numbers would be in keeping with the guidelines.
• Provision of reciprocal cover for periods of leave.
• Continuing responsibility for the care of patients in his/her charge and the proper functioning of the department.

The successful candidate will be expected to comply with all relevant policies relating to administration of patient care. We also undertake Daycase pain injections in our Day Surgery Unit. Our Nurse Consultant provides nurse-led Pain Management including post injection follow-up, medication and annual reviews as well as undertaking pain infusions in the Medical Daycase Unit at the Treatment Centre (on the QMC Campus).

Job Summary: The Clinical Effectiveness Officer will support the implementation of the Clinical Effectiveness agenda, including clinical audit, NICE guidance, participation in external best practice initiatives (such as NCEPOD and MBRRACE-UK), and the development of clinical guidelines. The Coordinator will facilitate the dissemination of learning from audits and oversee the completion of clinical audit cycles. Key Responsibilities: Support and oversee clinical audit activities in designated specialties as outlined by the Clinical Effectiveness Lead. Manage and take full responsibility for the action planning and outcomes of clinical audits, including national, local, and quality improvement projects, ensuring comprehensive evidence of improvements for the Trust. As well as maintaining a high level of professionalism, technical standard of work and complying with relevant codes of practice. As a HR Support Desk Adviser, you will provide professional first-line customer service support to managers and staff on all areas of HR policy, process, and payroll queries. Delivery of the service is from a central office in a contact centre environment, communicating by telephone and email, you will give up to date HR policy guidance across the organisation. You will carry out a variety of HR tasks, including payroll queries and administrative duties.

Main duties:

- Undertake a variety of HR transactional and administrative tasks required throughout the

employee life cycle in an accurate and timely manner, for example, employment changes,

absence management, pay and pensions, retirement and resignations.

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Provide advice to HMLR employees and Line Managers on HR policies, procedures and payroll queries via the telephone and via email from our centralised contact centre.
• Work as part of the team and contribute to achieving agreed service levels.
• Ensure that the Oracle Service Cloud case management system and HR database is maintained and kept up to date.
• Perform scheduled reporting to support both customers within HR Group and the business.
• Liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all HR documentation is updated to reflect current HMLR policy and retained in accordance with GDPR.
• Work on a variety of HR projects and tasks within the HR Support Desk and the wider HR as and when required.

What will I be doing?

As the Sous Chef you will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure all kitchens and chefs adhere to company Health and Safety standards. You will help oversee a large team so must have a passion for food, service and above all development. With a brigade this size you will need to be able to communicate across all levels to ensure that the team are organised, planned and that service is smooth and effective.
