• Coordinates, monitors, and provides overall supervision of the investigation of all charges filed in the District Office, Field Office, Area Office and Local Office.

• Respond to applicant's questions or resolve problems through the application of established methods and criteria without causing unnecessary delays to either the applicant or the organization.
• Assign work based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
• Plan work to be completed by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and set target dates for work completion.

• Supervises and works with shift crew including but not limited to: a 3RD Mate, a Master Tender, a Deck Equipment Operator, a Deckhand Leader, and Deckhands in various operational tasks.
• Operates a derrick, Class I crane or overhead crane.
• Supervises and performs general maintenance and repairs to the pipeline and other deck equipment
• Supervises and performs cleaning, chipping, painting, etc. in support operations and assignments.
• Accesses the pilothouse computer to input new dredge cut lines and uses sounding equipment to ensure cuts are of the proper length and depth.

• Lead surveillance, on a day-to-day basis, over the full range of field engineering activities associated with specific phases of a major military construction project.
• Review plans and specifications for proposed projects to determine practicability from a construction viewpoint and whether physical obstruction or other construction difficulties have been anticipated.
• Review specifications for clearing of land, excavation, building of access roads, materials testing requirements, storage or stockpiling of materials etc.
• Review contractor's proposed working schedules for logic, adequacy, and to determine if proposed construction schedules will be achievable.
• Review contractor's payment estimate submittals, progress measurement data, and reports of materials and equipment used.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations in day-to-day construction activities.
• Ensure daily report of activities are completed which includes instruction to contractor representative, quantities of pay items placed, weather conditions, progress of construction, reasons for delay and any unusual problems encountered.
• Provide expertise and guidance concerning safety and quality assurance to all sections and personnel under the purview of the area office.

As a successful candidate you will organise, supervise and manage our ancillary team to ensure all hygiene standards are met and therefore contributing to the welcoming and warm feel of this home.

Respect for older people alongside previous Housekeeping experience is essential for this role.
