Act as the Medication Safety Officer for the Trust, becoming a clinical expert for medication safety. Provide a highly specialised pharmacy service in the field of medication safety and risk management. Promote an open and honest culture to encourage, promote and increase the reporting of medication events and learning. Review all medication events reports, adopting a questioning approach and root cause analysis to identify contributory factors to ensure data quality for local and national learning, and where necessary, investigate and find additional information from reporters. Act as the Professional Secretary to the Medication Safety Group: - Ensure that the Group regularly reviews medication event reports, improves reporting and learning, and takes local action to minimise harm to patients. - Work with colleagues in nursing, medicine and other healthcare professionals to ensure there is clarity on roles with respect to medication event reporting. - Agree mechanisms to feedback data on medication events to reporters. - Support the dissemination of medication safety communications from NHS England and the MHRA, and the management of medication-related national patient safety alerts and campaigns. Provide regular updates and formal reports to the Chief Medical Officer on medicines related patient safety events. Regularly review information from the LFPSE and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency to support improvements in reporting and learning and to take local action to improve medication safety. Respond to urgent requests for advice from pharmacy, medical, nursing staff and other healthcare professionals with regard to medication safety related issues and concerns. Ensure the role of the Medication Safety Officer is covered for planned and unplanned absences. Lead the development and implementation of local strategies and policies to reduce risks with medicines. Hourly Pay from £13 PAYE per hour / £18 ltd (umbrella pay rate) - £15 PAYE per hour / £20 ltd (umbrella pay rate)

Service Care Solutions is looking for a committed and empathetic Prison Support Worker to join our team, working across two sites near Leeds. This contract role involves splitting your time between HMP Leeds (three days per week) and HMP Wealstun, totalling 35 hours a week. The position requires an enhanced DBS check and prison vetting clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Prison Support Worker, your primary role will be to provide comprehensive support to individuals within the prison system, helping them navigate their time in custody and preparing them for life after release. Your key responsibilities will include:

• 
  Assessing Needs: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to identify the specific support needs of each participant. Provide tailored advocacy, mentoring, advice, and guidance to meet these needs effectively.
• 
  Case Management: Engage and case-manage eligible participants on the CFO Evolution programme, offering ongoing resettlement support. You will also be responsible for completing pre-release inventories and associated actions to ensure participants are well-prepared for their transition back into the community.
• 
  Quality Assurance & Reporting: Develop and implement detailed Action Plans, designing and delivering appropriate activities, training programmes, and interventions. You will be expected to lead high-quality 1:1 and group sessions, monitor participants' progress, and contribute to internal quality assurance processes. Regularly provide timely monthly reports on progress against agreed outcomes.

  Team Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with HMPPS, other agencies, and colleagues within the prison system. You will also collaborate with the local CFO Activity Hub to facilitate effective through-the-gate transitions and ensure a smooth handover to community-based support workers.

Person Specification:
We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills, knowledge, and attributes:

  Experience: A background in working intensively with individuals, particularly those from marginalized or offender backgrounds, is essential. Experience in training, guidance, advice, or counseling environments is highly desirable.

  Knowledge: A strong understanding of the issues affecting the rehabilitation of offenders, desistance theory, and the prison environment is crucial. You should also be knowledgeable about local and national training, education, and employment opportunities for offenders.

  Skills & Abilities: We seek individuals with excellent communication, interpersonal, and IT skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be self-motivated, flexible, and capable of developing positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Summary of Duties:

Service and maintenance of air con appliances within both commercial and domestic properties.

Air conditioning/electrical fault finding experience within both commercial and domestic properties.

Main Duties:

Attend service and reactive breakdowns to fault find, diagnose and repair in a timely and cost effective manner.

Using knowledge and air conditioning fault finding experience to provide high levels first time fix and customer care.

To carry out the day to day responsive maintenance, service and repairs as instructed

To carry out servicing and safety checks on all air con systems

To make immediate decisions as regards the repair requirements should the original job order not reflect the actual works required and to inform the relevant director

To inform the customer (with reason) when it is not possible to complete a repair within the first visit and make mutually agreed arrangements to return to complete and inform the relevant director

Direct helpers engaged in assembly or installation of air con systems or components.

Liaise with management and or client to ensure all works are completed.

Ensure that all works and repairs are completed safely and in accordance with current codes and practices.

Abide by all client rules and regulations whilst on site (copy available upon request)

Ensure when purchasing materials, a 'best value and cost effective approach' is sought

To make sure that all training required to carry out the role is maintained and kept up to date.

To accurately complete all relevant documentation associated with the duties and ensure the prompt return to the office of all relevant information in relation to the daily tasks.

Where a Company vehicle is provided, ensure that it is used in accordance with the Company's current policies and procedures

Ensure that all company property, i.e. motor vehicle, uniform, tools etc… are operated safely, kept clean and in good order and tested when required to maintain the safe working of all heating systems

Actively take a proactive approach in finding and quoting additional works, should it be required.

Carry out site audits, vehicle audits, post work inspections, quotations and engineers meetings

Adhere to the Company policies and procedures, handbook and Health & Safety.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Essential:

• Recognised air conditioning apprenticeship and Commercial experience Air conditioning experience within the commercial sector e.g, fault finding, service, repair and maintenance on air condition installations and appliances.
• Working knowledge of test equipment including an electrical multi-meter
• Flexible approach:

due to travel aspect, this is a mobile position that will involve travelling to multiple sites across the West & East Midlands as well as some wider travel as required.

due to customer demands, the ability to work additional hours over and above contracted hours if and when required, where overtime would be payable.

• Be part of the emergency call out team on a rota basis
• To promote a positive and professional attitude to all customers and staff.
• Self- motivated and able to work under own initiative as well as within a team.
