Duties Include but are not limited to:

• Performs procedures such as fluoroscopy, gastrointestinal examinations, conventional plain film radiography, myelography, fluoroscopic guided, interventional procedures, portable radiography, digital radiography, and operating room radiography
• Supports clinicians in the performance of exams, anticipates imaging, and equipment needs before and during the procedure, follows the progress of the procedure and facilitates an efficient flow.
• Performs examinations of head, trunk, and extremities for routine physical examinations and for diagnosis of illness or of injuries of accident victims.
• Properly labels, secures, prepares, and administers radiographic contrast material orally, intravenously, or by enema under the supervision of a physician. Monitors patients during and after contrast administration for adverse reactions. Properly labels all medications on and of the sterile field during procedures.
• Performs radiographic procedures using the proper exposure techniques, including manual and photo timed exposures. These exams are performed using exposure tables, digital cassettes, buckies, collimators, grids, and other technical aids to produce radiographs of diagnostic quality with the minimum of retakes.
• Monitors the examination by checking the computation, performance, and results of the selected parameters to obtain the best diagnostic computer-generated data and images. Monitors the patients physical condition, physiologic changes during the procedure and keeps the clinician informed.
• Reviews requests for appropriateness before performing exams. Incumbent uses appropriateness criteria, the clinical history-provided on the request, interviews the patient, reviews the patient chart, or contacts the ordering clinician as needed for clarification.

• Plans and administers an assigned segment of a sports program.
• Assists in conducting clinics and seminars to train coaches, officials and/or participants.
• Schedules and publicizes tournaments, and other sports events.
• Solicits volunteer and paid services for activities.
• Develops program plans and requirements. Arranges for necessary supplies, transportation, space, and services to accomplish scheduled sports activities.

• Performs functions of both a Resolution Specialist and Customer Account Specialist relative to the Ozone Depleting Substance (ODS) Reserve Program.
• Serves as focal point for inventory transactions relating to inventory discrepancies (gains, losses, receipts, issues).
• Ensures asset balances are updated to denote whether an item is issuable or is blocked/suspended due to quality problems, safety, material condition, ownership, etc.
• Processes customers’ orders in Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) by reviewing every order for ODS Reserve controlled items requiring manager review prior to release.
• Provides product information to customer and handles emergency requests by following up with storage and transportation.

• Counsels and assists small business concerns on opportunities for obtaining Government contracts.
• Analyzes capabilities of small business concerns to evaluate present and potential capacity for production of specific commodities based on availability of equipment and machinery, labor supply, managerial skills, etc.
• Explains specifications or purchase descriptions, procurement regulations, Government administrative procedures and their tie-in with trade and merchandising practices of small business firms.
• Furnishes guidance on Small Business Administration (SBA) financing, defense order priority, allocation ratings, inspection and payments and directs contractors or potential contractors to appropriate Agency.
• Recommends the appropriate small business set-aside with recommended sources of supply.
• Advises prospective suppliers on the breakdown of solicited items for contract purposes in order to obtain greater bidding interest in the manufacture of component parts.
• Coordinates with acquisition specialists in studying possible greater distribution of production among small business programs concerns.
• Communicates with suppliers about current and upcoming opportunities using Federal, DoD and DLA e-commerce sites.

• Serve as the DLA Facility Fire Protection Engineering Program Manager with authority and responsibility to administer the DLA Facility Fire Protection Engineering program.
• Serve as the recognized DLA expert and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) on all aspects of fire safety and fire protection engineering.
• Primary responsible engineer for interpreting codes for compliance and evaluating elements of risk and mitigations under any deviation from code or policy requirements.
• Plan, evaluate, and execute short- and long-range programs which impact DLA and DoD influence on national issues and policies through interactions and influence through the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).
• Provide technical oversight of support to DLA field activities, in areas such as code enforcement, fire suppression, detection and notification system engineering, testing and maintenance.
• Planning, policy, methods and procedures to ensure regulatory requirements implementation and execution of the DLA Fire Protection Engineering program, which encompasses all real property facilities world-wide.
• Review of MilCon and renovation projects at an expert level for compliance with applicable fire safety and fire protection criteria.

• Provides Quality Assurance advice and coordination on assigned Engineering Technical Management (ETM) Team supporting the Captains of Industry (COI) strategic contract.
• Performs Quality/Technical oversight of DLA materials provided to the customer and has the ability to adapt and be resourceful in unexpected situations.
• Provides evaluation of contractor performance with respect to quality of DLA materials received by the activity and recommends corrective actions to Supply Centers.
• Reviews technical, contracting and quality history data and develops contract quality provisions specific to each item.
• Responds to customer complaints on Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs). Investigates, resolves, and takes corrective action to prevent recurrence of PQDRs.
• Furnishes technical assistance to Acquisition Specialists regarding evaluation of offers and Best Value/Source Selection.
• Develops materials required for briefings as requested and participates in meetings involving assigned projects, programs and/or items.

Major duties include, but not limited to:

• Develops procedures, policies, and supporting artifacts to ensure procurement activities are consistent with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), VA Acquisitions Regulations (VAAR) and other federal procurement laws and regulations;

• Negotiates performance requirements among multiple sites and service lines in order to obtain agreement, standardize enterprise equipment, supply and/or service requirements in support of strategic acquisition plans;
• Establishes and maintains controls to ensure that contracts are executed in accordance with terms.
• Advises on all phases of negotiation with the contract specialist/contracting officer for contract modifications, change orders, supplemental agreements and delivery order processes including requirements, definition, justification and approval for service contract extension, method of contracting, evaluation of proposals and all phases of contract administration.
• Monitors quality assurance surveillance plans to ensure that contracted services meet the expectations and needs of the facility.
• Troubleshoots various setbacks or delays.
• May serve as a Contracting Officers Representative (COR) or Alternate COR for facility contracts.
• Procedures required documents for internal and/or external audits of contracts by the Joint commission, financial consultants, OIG, GAO, VISN, congressional inquiries, etc.
