Southend City Council are looking to appoint a full-time, permanent YOS Officer.To ensure that the Council provides a first class professional service within the Youth Justice Service (YJS) by working for a needs-led service to children, young people and their families in order to prevent offending and re-offending.

You will be required to regularly write assessments and/or reports on young people and their families for court, panels and professional meetings.The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to engage young people and their families whilst they are on a court order. Adhere to corporate and departmental policies and practices including providing all data as and when required. You will manage highly complex cases that pose significant risk to others in the community. This could include young people involved in harmful sexual behaviour, gangs/County Lines [serious youth violence].

To be successful in this position, you must be able to work in the UK. You must have a relevant professional qualification to degree level (or equivalent) in Youth Justice, Careers, Education & Guidance, Youth & Community, Probation Service or Social Work and be currently working in the Youth Sector.

Extensive experience of undertaking assessments and writing reports.Experience of assessing and managing the risk of harm to others and protecting the public, managing the safety and well-being of young people both in the community and custody. Have a good knowledge of how to manage the risks young people pose to re-offending with evidence of continuing professional development and extensive knowledge of methods of youth justice intervention, child protection and prevention.

You will get an opportunity to work across all specialties and will act as out of hours cover for theatre, Obstetrics and ICU at a middle grade tier level. The duties include doing a full shift 1:8 on call rota covering any of the 4 tiers on the on call rota. The rota is fully compliant with national medical workforce guidance and the banding is 1A.

This post is aimed to provide anaesthesia trainees the necessary experience and learning outcomes required for Stage 1 of the 2021 Anaesthetics Curriculum in order to be eligible for recruitment to higher Speciality Training in Anaesthesia at the ST4 (Stage2) entry point, and therefore suitable for Anaesthesia Trainees who have completed a recognised 2 year training post in the UK and have passed the Primary FRCA MCQ examination.

You will undertake a personalised period of training and will gain experience and achieve learning outcomes outlined in the CT3 equivalent training guidance (RCOA, March 2021).

Clinical Supervision is shared between all consultants and the post holder will be provided with a dedicated educational supervisor. • Resuscitation and Transfer

• Intensive care Medicine

These are fixed term appointments for a period of 12 moths; there will be opportunity to extend the job by mutual agreement.
