What we are looking for in our ideal Commercial Gas Engineer:

The right person for this role will have a solid background in Commercial gas and heating as well as all relevant commercial gas qualifications NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent. CODNCO1, COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1, TCP1A, CCN1, CENWAT and applicable domestic qualifications. COMCAT, CCCN1, CCLNG1,OFTEC, LPG, ASHP, UNVENTED and Solar/Renewable qualifications are desirable but not essential. Excellent gas knowledge of current gas legislation and regulations. Local authority/ social housing experience with knowledge of a variety of Commercial/Domestic appliances and installations. Possess comprehensive technical skills along with extensive experience in commercial fault finding and rectification. Comprehensive knowledge, both domestic and commercial of most major manufactures i.e. Valliant Powermatic, Riello, Broag, Combat, Ambi-Rad, Ideal, Potterton, Nu Way and Worcester etc. Good all-round knowledge of heating systems with controls/BMS knowledge desirable.Good plumbing skills. Multi-Trade Operative

Ipswich

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am – 4:30pm

We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Responsive Repairs team, based in Ipswich. With a mix of skills and qualifications, the role will involve working on repairs for both void and tenanted properties and will cover all aspects of general building repairs and maintenance, including doors and windows. The role is mainly lone working with opportunities to work with the wider team as and when required, sharing out of hours call outs on a rota basis. With a company van and tools included the role will cover the sites across Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.

The role of Multi-Trade Operative will include:

- Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
- Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
- Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer


Skills and experiences:

- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (plumbing, carpentry, electrical) NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing if plumbing is core or currently undertaking the qualification. If you have a lower level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application.


- Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
- Skills in some of the following disciplines – carpentry, plumbing, decorating
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be working as part of the care team, recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents, conduct formal supervisions and appraisals, as well as, contributing to care planning and coaching support workers. With an emphasis on high quality, the purpose of the role is to maintain the personal care needs of residents, respecting the dignity of the individual and promoting independence.
