About the role

We are looking for a night shift PSV/HGV electrician to join our mechanical engineering team in Glasgow, Scotstoun region. Do you want to be part of our energetic team of engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of buses? If yes, then this Electrician position could just be the job for you!

We'd love to hear from if you have at a minimum a Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds level 1 & 2) qualification with proven on the job experience. If you're ex-military with a completed apprenticeship engineering qualification, or an experienced engineer looking for a transition, then we would love to hear from you too.

Role specifics

-Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.

-Carry out vehicle servicing.

-Be fully conversant with the overhaul and repair of vehicle electrical systems including engine management, automatic/semi-automatic gearboxes, electronic braking, suspension, electronic destinations, multiplex wiring systems and E.C.U.

-Be fully familiar with all relevant diagnostic equipment including multi meters, temperature gauges, micrometres, vernier gauges and E.C.U. diagnostic computer equipment.

We'll provide your overalls (PPE).

Shifts: Sunday to Thursday

Hourly pay-rate: £20.17 p/h + £2,000 JOINING BONUS

About you

-Do you possess a minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds level 1 & 2)?

-You must be fully conversant with the safe operation of workshop equipment and the overhaul and repair of vehicle electrical systems.

-You must be in the possession of, or capable of obtaining a full PCV licence and forklift truck licence if required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance and repairs to the sites
• Carry out planned repairs to equipment to maintain asset capacity and value
• Contribute to the preparation and development of safe working methods for repair procedures
• Respond to unplanned repairs and other requirements
• Respond to plant breakdowns - ensuring it is returned to production in a timely manner, and temporary fixes are followed up with a permanent solution.

I am assisting a large manufacturing client of mine with the process of securing an electrical Project Engineer for their Glasgow operation.
Job Summary:

Your role will be to support the Project & Service Engineering Team developing your own skills and knowledge of electrical control systems (Training can be provided). This role fits within a direct response service division and will work collaboratively with all service & support activities.

Your main duty will be to ensure the projects are operating on time and within budget for the client and be the point of contact when there is any queries or advice for the client.
Main Tasks

1. Manage and own projects from start to finish and ensure planned deadlines are met,

Principal Skills

As part of the Senior Leadership Team on Park, as Head of Facilities you will be responsible leading a large team which includes: site maintenance, facilities management and the Cleaning Operation Team. Creating an impeccably maintained, safe and clean park environment for all guests, ensuring every visitor to our park has a great time with memories that last a lifetime.    

Key Role Responsibilities

Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the Facilities team, setting clear goals and expectations, and motivating the team to achieve outstanding results and develop a high performing Team. Ensure all new team members receive an engaging 90-day induction and training plan to set them up for success with Haven.

Guest experience: Interacting with guests, building trusted relationships with owners, and addressing both their needs and concerns. You will be responsible for handling escalated guest issues and ensuring that they are resolved promptly and satisfactorily and gathering and analysing guest feedback to make continuous improvements.

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve departmental and organizational objectives, including budgeting and resource allocation.

Team Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate your teams performance, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional development.

Performance Optimization: Continuously assess departmental performance and implement improvements, ensuring efficient processes and high-quality outcomes. Support your Team Managers to plan and manage the day-to-day maintenance, caravan siting and cleaning activity across the park to create an environment for all our Guests and Owners to enjoy.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships, identify opportunities for growth, and ensure guest satisfaction.

Compliance: Ensure that all departmental activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting departmental achievements, challenges, and future plans.
