An opportunity has become available for an experienced, qualified Electrician to become part of C~urb 6 Property Maintenance, part of Link Group. The Electrician will be based in the Reactive Maintenance team. As Electrician, you will be responsible for providing a high quality and efficient service, carrying out all aspects of electrical work in properties owned or managed by Link Group or within service agreements to other organisations.
The role will involve carrying out smoke alarm inspections and upgrades in line with the new Scottish Government legislation.
C~urb is a partner company of Link Group and provides high quality, customer-focused repairs and maintenance services to Link tenants and other customers in Scotland’s Central Belt. In addition, we also deliver a range of planned and cyclical maintenance activities.
There will be a requirement to work throughout Link's areas of operation, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential. Access to a van, power tools, mobile phone, uniform, and PPE are provided.
About You
You will have detailed technical knowledge evidenced by experience and a relevant NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent). This role requires a qualification in City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations and a Health & Safety passport (e.g. ECS card).
You will have proven experience in a similar electrician role and a competent knowledge of electrical installations/appliances including fault diagnosis and rectification.
The successful post holder will have the ability to compile written technical reports and a knowledge of a variety of traditional and non-traditional construction methods, materials and installations.
Knowledge of and a commitment to excellent customer care are essential for this role, as well as a sound knowledge and awareness of relevant Health and Safety requirements and an understanding of legislation and how both impact on method of work and customer needs.
