They should when trained, under supervision be able to accurately apply permanent patient skin marks (tattoo) with needles and ink. This is a physically demanding post with constant manoeuvring of patients and equipment, which can often be heavy and / or awkward. The trainee will need to exert intense physical effort by reaching over and twisting heavy patients at height (approx. 5 feet from the ground) for short periods of time (5 minutes), several times a day (15-20 per day ), every day. The post holder will also need to lift accessory equipment (some weighing 6-10Kg) and position these at head / shoulder height onto other equipment. There are postural constraints involved in this due to limitations in work design. These risks have been assessed by the Trust Back Care Lead and physio. Post holder works in pairs so lifting of accessories is recommended as a two person lift. Mental Effort A high level of concentration is required when treating each patient constantly in order to undergo patient assessment and maintain a high level of care (10-30 mins per patient / up to 50 patients per day. Ability to view patient set-ups in both 2D and 3D. Excellent psychomotor and spatial awareness to accurately position patients (to within 1mm). When not treating patients, periods of prolonged concentration (1-2 hrs) are required when viewing images, calculating prescriptions and checking datasets for accuracy. Emotional Effort To recognize and appropriately act upon the emotional and psychological needs of patients, colleagues, team and ones self due to the frequent exposure to distressing and emotional circumstances, e.g. continually working with patients with cancer. Dealing empathetically with cancer patients, families and carers with challenging behaviour, caused by either the physical and/or emotional effects of diagnosis or the disease, impacts on the emotional effort required for this post. Dealing with the large age range of patients and carers / dependents of varying physical states including anaesthetized and unconscious. To act in an influencing role in areas that may cause significant conflict due to changes in traditional working practice. Working Conditions Working in an environment where radiation is used continuously. Approximately 80% of time will be spent in clinical areas, therefore the post holder will require a professional approach to occasional exposure to highly unpleasant working conditions (uncontained body fluids, smells) and have knowledge of how to deal with these appropriately. Post holder will need to lead by example in effectively dealing with any exposure to verbal aggression and threatening behaviour (usually due to patient distress), and be able to support other junior staff to develop strategies regarding the correct de-escalation processes. The remainder of the role will be spent doing academic work in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University.

Sugarman's Children Services are looking for experienced Teachers to provide face to face alternative provision to SEN / SEND/ SEMH/ children and young people with challenging behaviours in and around Leeds. This covers surrounding areas such as Huddersfield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Harrogate.

Our Children's Services division specialises in supplying trained and experienced teachers during or after school, including in a student's own home, on school premises or an alternative agreed venue.  

Our approach focuses solely on achieving goals for students, supporting growth, knowledge and development to demonstrate progress and harness their potential. To be eligible for this role you must have the following:    

• QTS or Equivalent    

• Have a strong subject knowledge (English, Maths, Science and Functional Skills)    

• Minimum 2 years' experience working with children / young people in a classroom setting    

• Enhanced DBS on the update system    

• Hold right to work in the UK    

• Knowledge and understanding of the Safeguarding Policy    

• Taught in a classroom setting in the UK

We are looking for a candidate with a willingness to learn as you will be required to complete a level 3 or level 4 qualification initially to become a Podiatry assistant. Once training is complete , the Podiatry assistant must have the ability to work independently but also as part of a team, with and without direct supervision, and have a keen sense of responsibility in order to accomplish a range of duties. The successful candidate must have good basis of IT skills as the podiatry department use several Software packages including systmone, which is an electronic patient record and booking system. The candidate must show an aptitude for working with older people and oftencan involve assisting with wound care; removing dressings and redressing wounds that may be unpleasant to look at. It is a very practical role, and hence candidates must be able to demonstrate manual dexterity, for example to manage podiatric instruments and drills, and to provide safe care and assistance to many patients each day in busy clinics. Podiatry assistants are also expected to assist with the maintenance of clinical equipment and to prepare clinical areas in line with infection control guidelines A driving license and willingness to use a car for work is essential, as the successful applicant will be expected to travel between clinics, attend care home sessions and manage their own domiciliary caseload. The Adult Critical Care CSU is a fast paced and busy environment in which to work. As part of the CSUs overall vision we aim to provide the best outcomes in the safest environments with outstanding patient and staff experience, sustainably. Due to the unique specialist care that is required for effective and safe patient care, the post holder must be able to respond robustly and timely to the ever-increasing demands and challenges that our critical care units (and wider CSU teams) bring. This includes supporting and mentoring our newer and more junior team members who may not always have experience in critical care. Therefore, in order to be considered for this role, all applicants must be enrolled with a start date in place or be in possession of a post graduate certificate in critical care (steps 2/3 or equivalent course relevant to specialty), be educated to degree level, and be able to demonstrate recent extensive experience within the specialty, in particular caring for and managing the critically unwell patient who requires level 2 and level 3 care. To work as part of the physiotherapy team within Domiciliary Physiotherapy delivering a high standard of physiotherapy assessment, treatment and advice topatients within the speciality area. To be responsible for a caseload of complex patients within the designated work area working without direct supervision. To plan organise and deliver physiotherapy care to these patients. To prioritise own clinical caseload organising care effectively and efficiently with regard to clinical and other priorities and use of time. To undertake comprehensive specialist assessment of physiotherapy needs of patients including those with diverse and complex presentations. To undertake clinical assessment and deliver short term interventions with patients under one of the specialist areas (Surgical and Rehabilitation services, Medicine, Neuropsychology). There will be a range of clinical, research and service development responsibilities. Clinical duties may include providing low intensity, short-term therapeutic intervention to patients with long term health conditions, traumatic injury and or neuropsychological difficulties. Research and service evaluation duties include administering and scoring psychological tests; assessment of participants enrolled in research studies; maintenance of databases; data collection and analysis; and assistance with writing papers and research proposals. This will include the use of a database (Excel); advanced systematic literature searches and retrieval; data collection, data entry and liaison with a variety of professions.
