Reporting directly to the Group Chief Executive Officer and working collaboratively with Executive colleagues, the ideal candidate will provide inspirational leadership, with strong values that match ours and role model an unwavering drive to deliver the strategic ambition of the Trust as an anchor organisation in healthcare for the city of Manchester and borough of Trafford.
The Group Deputy Chief Executive is a pivotal role to our future success as we push to improve the care and services for the people of Manchester, Trafford and beyond. Applicants will have experience in an acute trust with a significant research, innovation, and teaching portfolio or as an NHS Trust Chief Executive who wishes to join one of the largest NHS provider organisations in the country. You must be a self-starter with the motivation to excel in the role, including a commitment to staff engagement and an ability to foster collaboration and delivery within our Executive Team.
As a key member of the Group Executive Director team, you will play a key role in delivery of our organisational strategy, leading an organisational change programme, and supporting the implementation of the new operating model as well as the overall leadership of the Trust. The portfolio includes a full range of responsibilities associated with a formal deputy role, details of which are set out in the candidate brief.
You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining oversight of the Trust’s agenda, including strategy, partnerships, and general delivery. As part of this you will lead the organisation change programme to deliver the new operating model alongside supporting in the day-to-day line management of Hospital/Managed Clinical Services/Local Care Organisation Chief Executives. One of the key attributes we are looking for in this role is the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, clinicians, partners, and stakeholders towards our shared goals.
