The Role: Campus Director

JOB SUMMARY:
Under administrative supervision, provides leadership, guidance, and supervision for campus enrollment activities, the Student Success Center staff, and related campus budget/expense controls. Duties include promoting IRSC to local schools and communities, serving as an effective liaison to the division of Student Success to build, manage, and support student enrollment, and ensuring that all IRSC students are provided consistent services across all campuses. Provides operational oversight of recruitment, admissions, advising, financial aid, and career services at the branch campus, with a focus on increasing enrollment through recruitment and retention.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides leadership, input, and oversight as it relates to the enrollment, retention, completion goals and accountability measures of the branch campus.
- Hires, supervises, evaluates and leads Student Success staff, including recruitment activities, admissions processes, registration of new students; financial aid, career and services, tutoring, testing services, and adult education.
- Develops and maintains relationships with staff and students at area high schools to support enrollment, retention, and completion at IRSC; serves as the Dual Enrollment liaison to public, charter, private, and home schools in designated service area.
- Serves as the campus’s budget manager; approves the authorization requests and expense reports.
- Markets IRSC programs to businesses and organizations in the designated service area and seeks opportunities to meet educational and training needs of the community.
- Works closely with the Academic Deans to plan the schedule of classes each term.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for full and part time faculty teaching at the branch campus.
- Serves as a member of the Student Success Core Team.
- Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s Degree in Education, Counseling, or a related discipline; three (3) years of experience working with recruitment and enrollment of educational programs including analyzing data to determine campus needs, preferably in a community or state college setting; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job;
- Knowledge of effective educational marketing and student recruitment strategies;
- Knowledge of conducting needs assessment and analyzing data to determine needs;
- Skill in analyzing, organizing, prioritizing, time management, solving problems, and leading and motivating others;
- Skill in working with Microsoft Office and Windows based applications, as well as Enterprise Systems;
- Ability to be creative; apply initiative; be flexible, use good judgment; multi-task, make decisions; supervise others, and be self-motivated.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as light work involving lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may be very little, a job is in this category when it requires a good deal of walking or standing, or when it involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. To be considered capable of performing a full or wide range of light work, you must have the ability to do substantially all of these activities. If someone can do light work, we determine that he or she can also do sedentary work, unless there are additional limiting factors such as loss of fine dexterity or inability to sit for long periods of time.

Continued employment remains on an “at-will” basis.
Works some weekend and/or evening hours; travels throughout the four-county area as needed
