The EOS/ASE Geodesy Group at NTU is searching for a Research Engineer II to work under the supervision of Prof Emma Hill on the role of tectonics in modifying regional relative sea level (RSL). The successful candidate will analyse geodetic data and conduct numerical modelling to estimate RSL related to past and future earthquakes and other processes of land-height change in Southeast Asia.

Further to this, they will work on projects aimed at effective communication of these results to policymakers and other stakeholders. They will investigate best practices for communicating probabilistic estimates of potential future impacts of earthquakes on RSL. The successful candidate will have a Bachelors’ degree in Earth Science, natural hazards, remote sensing, geodesy, computer science, data science, or a related subject. The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) is a new interdisciplinary school formed by integrating the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (SCBE) from College of Engineering and the Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry (CBC) from College of Science. CCEB faculty members conduct cutting-edge research in diverse areas of bioengineering, biotechnology, chemistry, chemical engineering, food science, and other fields.

We invite outstanding candidates to apply for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level with a research area related to biotechnology. Applicants should have a well-defined research vision and an outstanding track record of publications in top journals. Successful candidates are expected to develop innovative, internationally visible, and extramurally funded research programs. We are also seeking candidates with outstanding capacity to teach related topics at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including mentoring and supervision of undergraduate and graduate students. Requirements

We are seeking individuals with expertise and a proven track record in fields related to biotechnology, including but not limited to areas related to cell therapy, gene therapy, RNA therapy, deep learning for biomedicine and healthcare, computational biology and bioinformatics, targeted drug delivery, synthetic biology, and vaccine technology.

Emoluments

The commencing salary will depend on the candidates' qualifications, experience, and the level of appointment offered.

We are looking for a Research Fellow to support the research for the project titled “Development of Durable, Jointless and Reduced Embodied Carbon ConFlexPave for Port Use”. The role will focus on carrying out research according to the proposed milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on a project to conduct the research on development of durable, jointless and reduced embodied carbon ConFlexPave for port use.

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in Engineering, Material Science or Chemistry or related field
• Previous experience in chemical synthesis and analysis, concrete sample preparation, mechanical testing and microstructural characterization (XRD, TGA, FTIR and SEM-EDX).
• Additional experience in carbon sequestration in cement-based material would be preferable, but not required.
• Strong academic standing with several publications in reputable journals
• Strong references from previous supervisors
