This is an exciting opportunity to join the management team in Gynaecology at St Mary's Hospital. St Mary's offers elective and emergency gynaecology services at 4 sites across Greater Manchester. St Mary's Emergency Gynaecology Department at Wythenshawe Hospital is a Type 1 Emergency Unit and one of the largest emergency gynaecology departments in the country.
The Deputy Directorate Manager will support the Directorate Manager, Divisional Director and Clinical Leads with the operational management within Gynaecology. This involves supporting the delivery of all operational performance targets and quality services to patients.
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative individual who is as passionate about women's services as we are, to join our senior management team.
You should have experience at a senior level of managing and leading clinical and operational teams. You will be visible and accessible, act as a role model and provide insightful, inspirational and compassionate leadership in the Directorate. You will be responsible for supporting the Directorate Manager in delivering the day to day operational work of the Directorate.
The post holder will work closely with the Directorate Manager and wider teams to support the efficient and effective management of resources in order to deliver a quality service.
Day to day responsibility for management of a specific specialty/work area within the Directorate.
In order to be successful in this role you must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to leading clinical services, as well as experience of service improvement, management of RTT waiting lists, change management and business, financial and workforce planning.
This is a full time post, although flexible working requests will be considered.
The post holder will be on the Trust out of hours on-call rota.
The post holder will be expected to work across sites as necessary.
