Woodlands Day Care who are part of the Family First Group are looking for a Deputy to join their team and provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development. This role is working 40 hours per week, various shifts patterns between the opening and closing times of the nursery 7:00am-18:00pm. This nursery is open all year round and is not a term time only role. You will need to have a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification. Salary is £35,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.

A, Our nursery is a home based setting with diversity and a long standing team. We have a mixture of qualified staff members including Level 2, 3, 6 and 7. We have a lovely secluded outside area which our Preschool have free flow access to.
Nursery Deputy Manager main duties and responsibilities*:
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
- Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
- Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions.
- Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
- Promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency.
- Inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice.
- Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
- Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.

Requirements and Skills for Nursery Deputy Manager:
- Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
- Over 1 years’ experience of working in Early Years - Essential
- Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
- Over 1 years’ experience of working in a management position - Desirable.
- Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
- Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding – Desirable
