Working from our office in Northampton, 1-2 days on site and home working, with occasional over night stays

Are you ready to lead the charge in ensuring safe, asbestos-free homes for our customers? Joining our small but perfectly formed asbestos team, you'll take responsibility for either the north or south regions, managing asbestos compliance and safety across a range of properties.

Typical day as our Asbestos Manager
- Lead on managing asbestos across sites in your region, ensuring every home meets safety and legal requirements.
- Oversee asbestos audits, inspections, and remediation projects, working closely with contractors to deliver high-quality work.
- Keep our asbestos register accurate and up-to-date, ensuring all information complies with legal standards.
- Deliver an annual programme of re-inspections, surveying asbestos conditions in communal areas and buildings.
- Manage site-specific surveys, risk assessments, and investigations, driving safe outcomes and improvements.
- Collaborate with your counterpart in the other region, contractors, and teams to maintain asbestos management at the highest level.

You bring
- Extensive experience managing asbestos, with qualifications like BOHS P402 and P405 and knowledge of CAR2012. And P403 and P404 (or equivalent) desirably.
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation, and experience applying it in construction and maintenance settings.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to work effectively with colleagues, contractors, and customers across your region.
- Experience in asbestos auditing, surveying, and writing detailed scoping documents.
- Ability to interpret complex data, and present it clearly through reports, presentations, or action plans.
- A proactive approach to turning ideas into actions, with a focus on continuous improvement and service innovation.

Job details
- Flexible working hours (or we’re open to agreeing a work pattern with you)
- You’ll manage your own diary, so if you need to work from home to take delivery of your new fridge or take a longer lunch for a haircut, you can use your flexi time to manage that!
- This is a hybrid role and you’ll spend up to 2 days in the office, 3 days working at home as well as 1-2 days working from one of our South Central sites with possible over night stays once a month.
- Able to use technology for updating systems and communicating with colleagues.
- Have a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle insured for business use but don't worry we'll pay for your mileage.
