The role
As a HSE Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deliver HSE support across our Clean Energy portfolio, such as with MEH Alliance and Commissioning Alliance activities, amongst also supporting work with Small and Advanced Modular Reactor vendors.

Day-to-day, you'll interface with wider Alliance HSE teams to deliver support both on-site and off-site. This includes supporting the Business Stream in ensuring that any new legislation, business or Group instructions are implemented following introduction into the Business Management System.

• Setting HSE Strategy for the Business Stream. Enforcing standards, providing proportionate and pragmatic expert advice and guidance to the team relating to specific problems or issues or on a more general basis relating to HSE management and promoting a strong HSE culture
• Ensuring a programme of HSE audits and inspections is fully planned and delivered, in compliance with national, group and company standards.
• Interpreting statistical data to identify areas of business improvement and advise and work with line managers such that the required improvement is realised
• Ensuring that all events are promptly investigated at the correct level, and that key lessons learned from events are identified and promulgated
• Writing and circulating reports that summarise areas of non-compliance, discussing with local management and identify areas requiring improvement
• Generating and delivering an overall Business Stream HSE Improvement Plan and supporting the development of local HSE Improvement Plans, as required

This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.

This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and requires regular travel across a range of internal and customer sites on a weekly basis alongside home working arrangements.

Essential experience of the HSE Manager

• Have a proven track record preferably gained within a similar role in the Nuclear or other highly regulated high hazard industry
• Good working knowledge of all relevant health and safety regulations and legislation
• Good working knowledge and application of ISO14001, BS:OHSAS 18001/ISO45001
• Ability to investigate events using industry best-practice causal analysis tools
• Approved Auditor qualification (or has demonstrable skills and track record) is desirable
• Competent Risk Assessor is desirable

Qualifications for the HSE Manager

• Level 3 (or equivalent) accredited Health and Safety Qualification (e.g. BSC Level 3)
• Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, National Vocational Qualifications
• (NVQ) Level 3 Health and Safety at Work, NEBOSH General Certificate)

Building Services Manager - Tier 1 Main Contractor

We are working with a Tier 1 contractor based near Bristol to recruit a new Building Services Manager for the business.

The role is to take full responsibility for the services packages across a range of the projects and you will be involved with the bid and estimating teams at preconstruction stage to look at the feasibility, programme times and buildability of the scheme. You will work with the design and commercial teams and subcontractors to establish best practice, price and procedure for the schemes and your input is essential to the successful delivery of the wider project.

Upon contract award you will work with the wider site delivery team to oversee the services packages on site and help manage the subcontractors through the install process dealing with all related technical queries all the way through to commissioning and handover - this is a real opportunity to work cradle to grave on schemes and see your ideas and plans come to life on site.

The role would ideally suit someone from a either a main contractor or specialist subcontractor with experience of both mechanical and electrical services but needs to come from an electrical background and be the business units electrical lead and be able to asses and sign off relevant works and subcontractors and mist have experience of precon as well as delivery. Ideally degree qualified but they are also keen to look at individuals who have worked their way up off the tools.

Most of our team are based in Bristol, Stratford upon Avon and North Devon. We also have offices in London, San Francisco and Singapore.

We work with a range of B2B clients across most industry sectors, from leading brands through to Government departments, and our events include anything and everything, from conferences and exhibitions, through to product launches, brand activations and roadshows.

We are looking for a Delegate Manager with experience of managing delegate registration, approval and accreditation for a range of events, with up to 5,000 delegates. This opportunity is to join our talented events team on a fixed term contract to support a number of events during 2025, in the UK and overseas. Role

You will be responsible for the set-up and running of delegate management on large conferences and oversee delegate management workstreams across smaller events as required. • Be responsible for effective delivery of delegate management requirements on large conferences, working closely with the client on process and approvals.

• Support the Event Director/s and Senior Event Manager/s as part of a project team in ensuring all delegate management aspects are delivered on time and to budget.

The person:

• Has a background in events with a delegate management focus
• Is great at managing high volumes of data with meticulous attention to detail
• Understands the importance and impact of GDPR in relation to personal data used for events

Lead a team that will include 2 SEOs, 3 HEOs and 1 EO; providing direction, prioritisation and supporting individual development.
Oversee the in-year management reporting for the Department across all Top Level Budgets, Enabling Organisations and ALBs. Review the consolidated financial position including the preparation of the monthly MI pack, highlighting risks and opportunities and working closely with the SFAs to drive improvements in management reporting.
Oversee external reporting to HM Treasury and other stakeholders such as the Cabinet Office including Supply Estimates, OSCAR Reporting, etc. Overseeing the monthly submission for the HMT OSCAR reporting system, ensuring the reconciliation to the MOD finance system is complete and accurate and relevant adjustments are agreed with DG Finance for the P6 1% accuracy return.
Manage the Main and Supplementary Estimate process including capturing all Estimate changes (including Operational spending), agreeing budget transfers with other government departments, ministerial submissions, preparation of the HMT submissions and Estimate Memorandums for external publication.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including HM Treasury, FMPA, DBS, TLBs, supporting cross finance functional working in Head Office and across TLBs.
Maintain a strong understanding of the HM Treasury Consolidated Budgeting Guidance and ESA requirements, providing clear guidance and advice to TLBs and stakeholders on the budgeting implications of policies, business cases, transactions etc. including leading the engagement with HMT SMEs as required.
Proactively identifying opportunities to help improve and the successful running of the Department’s finance function.

Our client, a not-for-profit housing association require a Head of Building Safety and Compliance Manager. The role is working on a FTC basis for 6 months reporting into the Director of Building Safety and Compliance.

As a member of the senior compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring all compliance across the Group. Ensuring all legislation is met and properties are safe and compliant.
The role oversees field based building safety and compliance teams that are based nationally. The role can be worked on a hybrid/remote basis with alignment to a local office including travel as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As Head of Building Safety and Compliance Manager you will:-

•Manage the Building Safety Team and ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act
•Manage the compliance for all properties to include high rise buildings ensuring the adherence to the Building Safety Act
•Managing a team of c 10 people within the Compliance team
•Deliver the strategic plan across the Group through managing and developing your teams, building relationships, and working with key stakeholders
•Take the lead on developing, delivery and maintenance of the national framework of compliance
•Keep up to date and informed with emerging legislation and technologies to manage risks
•Ensure a zero-tolerance policy to non-conformance is maintained
•Be responsible for reporting and analysis providing assurance to the Executive team and the Board

REQUIREMENTS

As Head of Building Safety and Compliance Manager you will have:-

•Significant experience working for a Housing Association or Local authority in a senior leadership role
•Strong strategic leadership experience with substantial experience of managing geographically dispersed teams
•Strong communication skills with proven experience of senior stakeholder liaison and relationship building including report writing and analysis for the Board and Executive
•Qualifications to include CIOB Level 6, RICS, NEBOSH, and experience with high-rise buildings would be highly desirable
•Previous experience in a similar role with knowledge of the Building Safety Act with strong technical knowledge
•Previous experience of Contractor management
•Full driving licence with the flexibility to travel nationally to meetings and offices as required
