About the Role

The HART service helps people return home from hospital, or prevent them from being admitted to hospital, and regain their independence by providing reablement support. Reablement is short term support which helps someone to become as independent as possible for them, by giving them the opportunity, motivation and confidence to relearn or regain some skills for daily living that may have been lost as a result of illness, accident or disability.

The Key Duties:

The Reablement Team Leader post is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Home Care Assessment Reablement team (HART) working in the community and with our health colleagues within a hospital setting.

Reablement Team Leaders will be responsible for undertaking first visits, including risk assessments, providing day to day line management support to Reablement Support Workers and undertake a Care Act Assessment where an ongoing eligible need has been identified.

It is an important role in the day to day running of the service which operates 365 days of the year from 7am to 10:30pm with a rolling rota shift pattern which includes regular weekends, early, late and day shifts and bank holidays.

You will work with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, to help deliver an agreed Reablement plan, to help Service Users identify and achieve their goals relating to a range of social care tasks such as washing and dressing, showering, meal preparation and helping people engage in community activities and other natural support resources, using an asset- based approach.

About You:

• Relevant experience working in adult social care settings and good understanding of the Councils Adult Social Care strategies.
• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent and relevant experience working with adults in a social care setting is essential. A good understanding of the relevant regulations and legislation and service Frameworks.
• Ability to use Information Technology applications e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and database applications and able to identify and record critical information and demonstrate quick thinking and problem solving.
• Ability to prioritise and manage own workload and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both orally and in writing, with a wide range of people, including representatives from other agencies, using skills of negotiations and persuasions.
• Working on own initiative and as part of the team and to effectively liaise and work in partnership with other agencies to ensure the delivery of integrated services and achieve positive outcomes for service users.
• Ability and willingness to travel and work from various locations throughout the County and travel between sites as required.

Job Details

• Setting and managing colleagues annual and monthly objectives, ensuring each colleagues receives a monthly 121 to address performance and offer support
  
• Ensuring that annual PDRs (performance development reviews) are conducted within timeframes expected by the business
  
• Managing all HR related issues in line with our best practices
  
• Supporting colleagues with monthly coaching and development plans and deliver effective monthly team meetings
  
• Ensuring colleagues are accurately reserved in-line with our reserving philosophy and ensuring payments are authorised in-line with our departmental SLA's
  
• Managing adherence to departmental work condition reporting and ensuring colleagues adhere to departmental SLA's
  

Skills we would love you to have

• Strong background/experience in leading and developing a team in an operational environment
  
• Track record of driving results and meeting/exceeding targets whilst keeping the customer at the heart of everything you do
  
• Good communication skills with strong attention to detail and committed to own self development as well as that of the team

Could you manage and strategically develop the provision of support for Leicester City school governing bodies?




As a leader you’ll focus on inspiring, motivating and getting the best out of your teams and to make sure they have everything they need to deliver the best outcomes for the people of Leicester. It’s not just about knowing the technical aspects of your role - although, of course, you do need to understand the complexities of school governance and operation of schools.




But more importantly, it’s up to you to make sure your people have a framework that enables them to deliver on the teams’ priorities. Because, by putting your people at the heart of everything you do, you’ll ensure we enhance life for everyone in our great city. So, as a leader it’s your responsibility to put your people first. In return, we’ll give you autonomy over your work to ensure you produce the right outcomes for the children and schools you support. That means you’ll have the scope to challenge the status quo, question the way we do things and introduce appropriate innovation to improve results. In short, you’ll lead us into the future.




Your role will focus on three main areas delivering statutory responsibilities, traded services and implementing related improvement strategies.




This means interpreting legislation, drawing up policies and procedures. Which you then communicate to a range of governors and head teachers. Being clear on actions required. Listening to issues and then not only developing. But delivering training that fits your audience appropriately.




Working with our governors to improve knowledge and quality assurance systems to monitor performance indicators. All contributing to the LA’s School Improvement Framework and strategic plans. Particularly in relation to school governance and intervention via the Schools Causing Concern statutory guidance.

PA to Principal & Deputy Central Administration Manager

The College operates across two closely located campuses, next to the University of Leicester on University Road and a smaller campus at Regent Road.
As a Personal Assistant, you will be responsible for managing administration for our Principal which includes managing emails and post; supporting with the arrangements of meetings; coordinating travel arrangements; minute taking; organising the administration for projects; coordinating and lead on projects within your role; supporting the Corporation with administration and leading a small reception team. From time to time, you will be required to cover the Central Administration Manager.
THE CURRICULUM AREA – CENTRAL ADMINISTRATION
It’s an exciting time to join the newly formed Central Administration Team where no two days will be the same. Our purpose is to support the administration and coordination behind the events that take place on the college calendar. The Central Administration Team is home to our Executive Leadership Portfolio Assistants, Curriculum Admin & Cover Administration Team, the Reception & the Print Centre. Our purpose is to support the administration and coordination behind the events that take place within the college calendar. Your role will report into the Central Administration Manager.

The salary banding for this post will be 15 – 18 which ranges from £29,346 to £32,259 per annum. The actual starting salary for this post is £29,346 but may be negotiated based on experience.
