In this vital role you will be responsible for the development, scale-up, and transfer of both upstream and downstream processes for early clinical manufacturing of therapeutic molecules. The programs develop a wide range of biological molecules including mAbs, BiTEs, bispecifics, conjugations, and other novel modalities ranging from early molecule assessments with Research to IND enabling GMP manufacturing supplies for clinical studies.

• Develop processes amenable to cGMP operation and lead deliveries of drug substance in a cGMP manufacturing environment in both internal and external capacity for batch and continuous processes
• Applying technical and platform knowledge to design studies for the development of cell culture or purification processes
• Provides significant contributions to drug substance development teams (e.g., product, process development and product quality teams) by providing drug substance updates, documentation, data interpretation, technical recommendations, etc.
• Develop and apply automation to enhance the agility of the platform model
• Independently authors technical reports, regulatory filings, patents, peer reviewed publications and actively participate in scientific conferences
• Serves as a technical authority and keeps current in relevant literature and related technology with a record of successful application of said technology complying to current and emerging regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, ICH, etc)
• Works cross-functionally to author CMC regulatory documents and documentation in support of Amgen’s regulatory filings
• Conveys information and makes recommendations on scientific issues to senior management
• Provides mentoring and expertise to less-experienced staff

The Opportunity

As a Computer Scientist/Engineer on the Fraud Team, you will be at the forefront of developing and executing an innovative strategy utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLM), and Multi-Agent Systems to combat a variety of fraudulent activities. These activities include bot attacks, account takeover (ATO) incidents, phishing schemes, theft, and product misuse.

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, with substantial experience in AI/ML engineering.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing AI, ML, DL, NLP, LLM, and/or multi-agent algorithms, with a focus on fraud detection and prevention.
• Proven track record of successful implementation of AI-based strategies, including LLMs and multi-agent systems, to combat online fraud.
• In-depth understanding of online or software fraud activities, including bots, ATOs, phishing, theft, and misuse.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or similar, with an emphasis on engineering principles.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and innovatively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective multi-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Work On

The Ambassador will be the representative of Abbott and the Abbott Diagnostics Division (ADD) brand to the customer. The Ambassador operates as the primary account management contact with key strategic (landmark) customer accounts; with a focus on customer satisfaction, improving economic profitability; increasing customer loyalty; and retaining business via contract renewal and closing new solutions. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Improve customer satisfaction of current Landmark accounts to drive better retention rates, increase Abbott’s ability to value expand, and build and manage Abbott’s reputation to ensure the customer would act as a reference as needed to potential new customers
• Drive customer loyalty by resolving customer issues, supporting operational business reviews with key lab contacts
• Assess customer operations and identify opportunities for operational/service improvement
• Work with Enterprise Account Managers (EAM) to renew business early or extend contract to block the competition (focused on lab partnerships)
• Develop and execute existing account plans to ensure customer satisfaction and drive value expansion opportunities
• Execute via sales process on value expansion opportunities identified by EAM
• Elevate all customer challenges immediately as needed in partnership with the service organization
• Effectively support technical needs of the laboratory and influence new solutions buying decisions
• Support implementation process on new landmark account, through:
  • Direct support of project ordering, instrument installation, assay validation with technical partners
  • Participating in hyper care activities
  • Taking ownership of account and customer relationship post-implementation

Position Scope

Represents Abbott and the ADD brand to the customer with emphasis on laboratory management. Will interact with Sales colleagues, Area/ Regional Marketing; Customer Support Center and Technical Service; Finance. This position is a very visible and will influence customer purchase decisions. Makes decision on reagent utilization on integrations and troubleshooting product replacement. Considers financial and customer implications as part of decision making. Critical contribution to the effectiveness of the CAPA system with responsibility for accurate documentation of customer complaints and the actions taken to resolve those concerns. Exhibits high level of integrity; honesty; keeping commitments and presenting information completely and accurately to both internal and external customers. Monitor and maintains customer satisfaction through direct contact. Adheres to safety guidelines; policies; procedures.

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will provide paralegal support for the Patent Law group and be responsible for managing and maintaining patent prosecution dockets for U.S. and foreign patent portfolios. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Reviewing and docketing patent prosecution correspondence from US and foreign patent offices;
• Sending filing instructions to outside associates; maintaining follow-up correspondence; and ensuring completion of all country specific formalities;
• Managing patent dockets, including determining and docketing critical dates for US and foreign patent offices;
• Preparing reports through IP Management Software (Anaqua);

The Structure Elucidation team within Attribute Sciences, provides NMR expertise for Amgen’s clinical and commercial portfolio. Amgen is currently seeking a Senior Scientist in our Thousand Oaks facility. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for (1) providing NMR expertise in the analysis of synthetic molecules, which may involve starting materials, intermediates, impurities, degradation products, and active pharmaceutical ingredients, (2) supporting the NMR reaction monitoring for chemical process understanding, 3D structural analysis, and quantitative NMR, and (3) further developing applications for benchtop NMR systems. The team provides support for hybrid and biologic modalities and is also accountable for supporting the structural elucidation component for regulatory filings.

By applying and developing NMR methodologies, the Scientist will work closely with analytical and organic chemists supporting chemical and biological processes to understand key aspects of synthetic products, manufacturing, and biologics. The Scientist will work in collaboration with NMR structural elucidation scientists across the Amgen network. Our laboratories are equipped with state-of-the art NMR instrumentation.

The Opportunity

• The Field Engineering position is a client-facing role focused on helping clients to realize and quantify value driven by our Adobe solutions. This position will require technical knowledge on Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Experience Platform and Adobe Campaign. Field Engineers will work to gather and understand their client’s unique business objectives and provide advice on how best to meet their needs using one or more Adobe solution. In addition, they will collaborate cross-team to deliver on recommendations, including both technical and strategic services to help drive business impact and support business needs.

What you'll Do

• Be a recognized authority (by clients, partners and colleagues) in Adobe software-based solutions & technologies.
• Work to educate clients on the standard methodologies in relation to their specific industry and key business requirements.
• Gain an in-depth knowledge of a client’s technical environment, business objectives, goals and challenges in order to deliver the best advice needed to drive customer success and value with Adobe solutions.
• Effectively analyze complex project issues, identify the possible solution options, and facilitate the presentation and review of the options and our recommended solution with customers and partners.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, debug, and optimize performance of customer implementations.
• Efficiently multi-task, working across multiple client engagements at the same time as well as key internal initiatives.
• Actively maintain the highest level of technical expertise by knowing the latest Adobe technologies through internally and externally available learning opportunities and self-study.
• Interact frequently with clients via phone, email, and/or in-person—including interaction with marketers, analysts, web developers, and C-level executives.
• Keep accurate daily records of client billable time.
• Use Microsoft Office products to build client documentation and presentations.

What you need to succeed

• A deep technical knowledge of Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Experience Platform and Adobe Campaign.
• The capacity to understand business requirements and translate them into architecture, design and development activities for our most complex Web based solutions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in integration technologies and techniques including Adobe Experience Platform services like Identity Service, Data Storage Layer, Profile dataset, Real-time Customer Profile etc.
• Experience articulating technical solutions and how they can solve client business problems to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Deep understanding of data ingestion from various sources like CRM, MPNs, Website data, Mobile apps using APIs, Experience Data Model (XDM), schemas and mappers.
• Analyze and guide customers on Journey Optimizer features like journey orchestration, workflows, triggers, automations, actions, messages, offers, segments and AL/ML powered Segments.
• The ability to adapt to and work effectively with a variety of clients and partners in challenging situations, employing strong facilitation skills while establishing credibility and trust quickly.
• 10+ years of direct client consulting experience.
• Be self-motivated, responsive, professional and a champion of customer success!
• Possess an innovative, problem-solving approach using Adobe solutions.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Some travel required.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
