Job title: Senior Employment Specialist
Salary: £31,000 to £34,000 per annum
Based at: Office based in Nottingham with regular travel required between delivery locations across Nottinghamshire
Contract: Fixed term until 31 March 2025, full time (35 hours per week)
1. WHY THE POST EXISTS
Do you have an understanding of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and the health and wellbeing landscape? Can you support people with significant barriers back into meaningful employment? Are you an experience team leader? If so, this role might be for you.
As a Senior Employment Specialist within the Employment Services department, you will make a real difference to the community by leading a team of Employment Specialists who support the delivery of the IPSPC Working Well East Midlands Programme in Nottingham City and South Nottinghamshire. This programme aims to help people with physical and mental health conditions to secure or return to sustainable paid employment.
You will be an experienced proactive team leader, who thrives with challenging targets and helping others to achieve while putting participants needs at the heart of what we do.
2. THE KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Oversee a group of Employment Specialists providing supervision, training and caseload management support.
- Operate as a role model for the Individual Placement and Support approach.
- Contribute to the effective management of a high-quality IPS service that meets fidelity standards and delivers positive outcomes for participants.
- Conduct daily caseload reviews to ensure accurate forecasting and target achievement.
- Complete Vocational Profiles and produce Action Plans.
- Provide job sustainment interventions.
- Lead by example in their approach to delivering employment support in particular through offering shadowing and learning opportunities.
- Provide weekly forecasts and other useful data to support monitoring, auditing and continual improvement.
- Actively identify and develop new business relationships with local employers.
- Work collaboratively with Primary Care and NHS teams, job centres, VCS organisations and training partners to maintain positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment.
- Able and willing to travel across Nottinghamshire to meet participants and employers to ensure our services are accessible to all.

- Experience of managing a team within a welfare to work or IPS programme, or similar relevant role.
