Lakehouse Nursery are looking for an unqualified nursery assistant to join their team.

Within this role you will be responsible for a designated group of children as a key person and will guide the children through the daily routine, liaise with parents and provide an enabling environment.

This role is working 40 hours per week, various shifts patterns between the opening and closing times of the nursery 7:30am-18:00pm. This nursery is open all year round and is not a term time only role. You will need to have childcare experience but formal qualifications are not required.

As Nursery Assistant, you will:

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
• Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff:child ratios
• Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
• Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
• Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
• Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development

The main purpose of the role: As our Finance Assistant your role will be to ensure all financial processes ore complete for Aurora Foxes and the central finance team. This will involve monitoring and checking pretty cash reconciliations, day to day administration of Soldo debit cards, working closely with the central finance office in relation to purchase ledger/purchase order activities, supporting the hotel with income transactions and ensuring sufficient funds are available in pretty cash at all times. Duties may vary and you will be expected to support and assist the Business Manager on a day-to-day basis as required. Key duties: Work closely with the Central Finance Operations Team in relation to Purchase Ledger/Purchase Order activities. Work with onsite staff, providing help and guidance as necessary, to ensure that all Purchase Orders are raised prior to ordering or works being commissioned and ensure that those making requisitions are receipting goods and services appropriately. Brymore is a State Boarding School for boys aged 11 - 17 set in its own 60-acre site with a working farm, gardens, workshops and sports facilities which are fully utilised in the delivery of the curriculum to over 320 students of which 130 are boarders.
