Our focus is simple but meaningful, from our distribution centers to our offices — every employee of C&S and their family of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors, and communities. As the Buyer Assistant, you will become the primary point of contact for Military customers via phone and email. This role will also process daily manual store orders and provide invoice and purchase order delivery paperwork backup and reconciliation statements to our customer. There will be daily interaction with customer representatives, store personnel, and internal customers to meet department and corporate goals and service the needs of our customers.
Job Description
You will contribute by:
- Servicing our Military customer base
- Entering purchase orders: manually key punch customer order requests received into C&S order processing system
- Responsible for all aspects of managing inbound purchase orders: revisions, expedites, dating, securing of appointments, and routine follow up until receipt.
- Responding to calls & emails from customers, buyers, vendors, and warehouses pertaining to purchase orders, inventory management, transportation and impaired inventory issues.
- Completing R-Bills; working with buyers and external parties to manage return/disposition of impaired inventories.
- Producing and distributing various Procurement reports.
- Collecting, organizing and distributing data
- Handling projects pertaining to service level management and inventory management, assigned by supervisor.
- Assisting with start-up related tasks when required by the department Manager.
We’re searching for candidates with:
- Advanced computer skills; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel formulas and functions
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and sometimes stressful atmosphere
