We have an exciting opportunity for successful candidates to train as a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner in our Adult Drug and Alcohol services. We have two places available in Cornwall and you will be enrolled with the University of Exeter to undertake the training element of the course. Being a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner involves providing compassionate, person centred care for adults (including older people), which is hopeful and focused on their goals. It begins with skilled information gathering, information giving and shared decision-making, with the intention of enabling access to the best community and professional resources that can help. It also involves delivering specific psychological interventions under supervision from a suitably qualified psychological professional. The trainee salary for this role will be £25,147, rising to £28,407 upon qualifying. This is a 12 month contract, ending in March 2026. Upon completion of your qualification (within the 12 month period) an offer of a permanent position within the service will be reviewed. Visa requirements As these roles are funded by Health Education England for home fees and not for international fees. The University requires you either need to have a UK passport, or have settled status in the UK. Flowline, a division of FM Conway are looking for Trainee Drainage Operatives/ Drainage Engineers to join our team based from Sleaford on a full time, permanent basis. The working hours are Monday-Friday 06:00-16:00, there is also the opportunity for over-time and night work.

As our Trainee Drainage Operative you will work as part of a two-person team to carry out a range of services including cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of drains. We will consider applicants with no previous drainage experience as we are able to offer full training.

Duties of the Trainee Drainage Operative role:

- Supporting HGV Drainage Engineers with drainage work, including HPWJ and CCTV surveys works

- Drainage cleaning and investigation works

- Assisting in high pressure water jetting

- Attending reactive and unplanned emergency works

- Operating of the GIS Trimble unit in accordance with company operating procedures

What we’re looking for in our Trainee Drainage Operative

To be considered for this role you must hold a valid CSCS card. Ideally you will have previously worked within a similar role and will have experience in high pressure water jetting. In addition, it would be beneficial if you have a street works card and confined space ticket.

This is a physical job that requires good fitness and dexterity.

Although the work area is covered, you must be ability to work in an outdoor environment, sometimes off site.

You must work to a high level of accuracy and quality of finish.

Training will be provided.
However a good basic knowledge of carpentry skills and hand tools is essential, on application.
Previous use of timber machining tools such a moulder/resaws/crosscuts would also be an advantage.
You should also be used to working in Metric or Imperial dimensions.

Advancement to more senior post after a period of initial training is available to candidates with ambition.

After an initial 6 months probation period, this position may become a permanent, year round, full time position to the right candidate.

The Sawmill is in a remote location; therefore your own transport is essential.
