Customer Order Management

As a Tutor on Mencap's Internship programme you will teach English and Maths by embedding it into lessons about employability. You will also teach further life skills that will have a direct impact on the way your learners interact with their wider community.

Newcastle College is seeking a customer-service focused individual to support international applicants for the full student journey from application to graduation.

Working out of the busy International Office environment, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills as you will be communicating with applicants, students and their representatives on a daily basis.

The post-holder will process applications, making decisions on the suitability of applicants in line with College entry requirements and UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) policy.

The Admissions and Student Support Office must be able to manage competing priorities to cope with the many diverse and complex requests from students and agents.


Excellent communication and decision-making skills are essential as the post-holder will be advising on specific course information along with often complex immigration rules.

The ideal candidate for this demanding post will possess excellent customer service and administrative skills.

This is a student-facing role with face-to-face, telephone, email and Microsoft Teams correspondence with current and prospective international students relating to all admissions, student support and immigration matters. The post holder will be campus-based on a full-time basis.
