• Managing and developing the performance of the St Albans contract, including service delivery, budgets, resources and health and safety.

What we're looking for;

• Previous management experience of a large blue collar unionised workforce.
  
• Waste management experience.
  
• Understanding of current waste legislation.
  
• Previous experience managing a P&L (Profit and Loss) of over £5 million.
  
• Logistics or transport experience would be beneficial.
  
• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) holder or be willing to work towards this.
  
• COTC (Certificate of Professional Competence) holder or be willing to work towards
  
• Experience of working with municipal waste contracts, ideally from the client and/or Contractor perspective is desirable.
  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including report writing.

Senior Learning Support AssistantFull Time/ Permanent
£27,080 - £29,594Based at St. Albans CampusWe are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated, and dedicated individual to Line Manage a team of Learning Support Assistants as well as support our students to ensure they reach their full potential. You will need knowledge, experience, and awareness of a variety of approaches to supporting students.
The role will include liaising closely with the Curriculum, parents, and carers to ensure they are provided with up to date, accurate information regarding the support the students are receiving, this will also include Chairing EHCP reviews.
You will need to be highly organised and have attention to detail, working across all Curriculum levels within a diverse, fast-paced environment, while also Line Managing a team of Learning support assistants.Required Skills• Good standard of education or extensive experience

Your role details
• Full-time 38.5 hours per week
• Competitive hourly rate of £11.60 p/hour
• Rotational shift pattern 8am-8pm (day shifts) and 8pm-8am (waking nights). Flexible working available

Your responsibilities as a Support Worker
• Ensure that our service users are at the heart of everything we do.
• Support and guide service users with day-to-day activities enabling them to be able to live a full and as independent life as possible. This may include help to manage budgeting, domestic tasks, or meal preparation
• Support and guide service users with grocery shopping and attending routine appointments.
• Support service users whilst taking of prescribed medication.
• Support service users to be as active as they would like to be as part of their local community, whilst encouraging them to try out new things. These could include days out, family visits or arranging to go to college or use their local leisure facilities.
• Regularly review support plans whilst ensuring that they are committed to working toward their needs and aspirations.
