The Cemetery Caretaker performs jobs requiring mainly manual skills and physical strength. Performs a variety of tasks, such as operating small tractors and riding lawn mowers; transplanting shrubs; digging graves to the proper level; cutting and removing sod, tamping and leveling dirt using hand and power tools; digging and squaring graves using pneumatic equipment, picks and shovels; assisting in lifting and placing caskets on lowering devices; loading and unloading materials; aligning headstones; cleaning and clearing cemetery grounds of debris using power trimmers, chainsaws, axes, shovels, rakes, blowers, vacuums etc.; weeding, mulching, and applying fertilizer; pruning shrubs and low level dead branches; removing snow and ice; cleaning headstones using sprayer and hand brush; and cleaning service and administrative areas.

Work schedule: May be required to work Monday through Friday to include occasional weekends. Due to the mission of the National Cemetery, the cemetery cannot be closed for more than 2 consecutive days at any given time. Additionally, when a Federal holiday falls on a Monday or Friday, staff may be required to work on that holiday or a Saturday. All staff is required to work Memorial Day each year. Staff will be required to work overtime, weekends and holidays when necessary to meet the needs of the cemetery. Occasionally staff may be called back to the facility to perform emergency overtime work.

The incumbent has full time responsibility for providing expert pharmacotherapy services to optimize patient response and resource utilization for professional staff. The incumbent carries out the following duties and responsibilities;

Duties include but not limited to:

• Works independently under a scope of practice, after the establishment of a working diagnosis of respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary hypertension, among others and initial treatment plan by the patient's provider(s) and in accordance with accepted standards of practice or the pharmacologic management guidelines established by local, VISN-8 and National committees.
• Unique functions requiring the individual to maintain a scope of practice:
  • Primary provider for extending medication therapy until next medical appointment, when patients are out of medications (limited to non-controlled substances).
  • Primary provider to initiate, modify or discontinue patient's medication therapy (excluding controlled substances) as clinically indicated in the treatment of pulmonary conditions. Provides patient-specific drug therapy modifications to maximize patient response and minimize drug interactions, adverse drug effects, and polypharmacy while providing cost-effective treatment. The assessments are based on clinical reviews and objectives measures. Clinical pharmacy practitioner will determine a referral to the physician Is necessary when disease progression occurs or adverse drug events require treatment interventions.
  • Orders, performs. reviews, and analyzes appropriate laboratory tests and other diagnostic studies necessary to monitor and support the patient's drug therapy. Follows-up with patients on laboratory or test results to discuss the plan of therapy (i.e. changes in medlcation therapy. monitoring and evaluation, additional testing requirements, referral to primary care or specialty care physician).
  • Provides patient care that is appropriate to the cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological maturation needs of the patient group served. Categories Served: Adult-ages 18 to 64 years old; Older Adult -ages 65 and older.
  • Primary provider to consult to other VA providers in the patient care team, on the appropriate VA National Formulary medications to consider for patients that are choosing to transfer their care to VA.
• Core functions include face-to-face, VA Video Connect and telephone encounters with referred patients.
• Functions as part of the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive medication management.
• Interviews the patient to obtain pertinent past medical history; chief complaint(s), history of present illness, and review of systems; medication use history (including prescribed and over-the-counter use); home blood pressure monitoring data and daily weights; allergies/adverse reactions; social history; dietary patterns to the extent that these relate to disease progression: assessment for medication adverse effects.
• Monitors therapy on an ongoing basis to assess therapeutic outcomes, adverse effects, and compliance.
• Is directly involved in the design, implementation, and monitoring of therapeutic drug plans to achieve definite outcomes through direct interactions with patients and providers in assigned areas.
• Reviews and evaluates request for Non-formulary and restricted drugs for appropriateness and compliance with established criteria where applicable.
• Serves as an authoritative information source on medications and their utilization in therapy, with special emphasis on medications used for mental health disorders and other chronic disease states use as diabetes, hypertension, anticoagulation etc.
• Evaluates the drug literature by analysis of experimental design and methodology, to compare and contract therapeutic regimens and roles for new drugs, with a special emphasis in medications used in Pulmonary conditions and its related complications.
• Analyzes laboratory data to rule out drug interferences and to modify drug dosing, when necessary.
• Takes appropriate measures to ensure that therapy is continued for those patients who are followed at San Juan VACHS, its affiliated clinics and at other VA facilities.
• Medication processing, dispensing and distribution at San Juan VAMC, its affiliated clinics and other VA facilities.

• Provide administrative support to a credentialing and privileging office.
• Coordinate credentialing meetings which include preparing agendas, notifying attendees, and providing documents for committee action.

As a General Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist you will perform general diagnostic radiography of the entire body, with and without the use of contrast materials. You will operate radiology equipment, both mobile and fixed, and assist the radiologist with fluoroscopic procedures as part of the diagnostic plan for patients. You will assist surgeons in the operating suite in performing complex fluoroscopic procedures including angiographies. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Interpreting and carrying out requests made by physicians.
• Explaining procedures and positioning patients for desired results.

• Determining technical factors (i.e., calculating the correct exposure factors of time, distance, kilovoltage, and milliamperage), setting controls and operating equipment ensuring that the portion of the body specified receives the correct calculated exposure.

This position has job functions that must be executed within specific geographic locations. The official duty station is a federal facility, leased space, or an alternative worksite (typically the employee’s home) within the specified geographic area. You will be expected to report to a specific GSA duty location at least one or more days a pay period depending upon the terms of the agency’s telework policy.

As a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst for this position, the incumbent:

• Manages and implements national and regional policies; administrative functions, operations and procedures. Coordinates regional and/or multi-regional activities with other GSA components and other Federal agencies.
• Provides authoritative advice, guidance, management and assistance in setting goals for the Division on a monthly, annual or longer basis and establishes priorities and work plans to meet the high level organizational goals.
• Provides critical analysis of pressing issues and required policy recommendations to management officials in formulating decisions regarding changing responsibilities or business needs, as well as in the design/development and evaluation of the ongoing and/or new program issues.
• Serves as a troubleshooter for program personnel on a diverse range of issues, projects, or concerns requiring an overview of the total agency, financial management and budget operations with respect to resolving significant, controversial and/or otherwise highly charged situations.
• Applies a wide range of qualitative, and/or quantitative methods to assess and improve program effectiveness and/or complex management processes, projects and systems.
• Reviews specific goals and objectives; monitors the sequence and timing of key program events and milestones and evaluates overall program accomplishment and significant contributions in terms of agency goals.
• Provides leadership, expert assistance and authoritative advice on the interpretation and implementation of governing policy in the area of financial management and budget formulation.
• Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work; assigns work based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments and the capabilities of employees; evaluates work performance of subordinates; gives advice, counsel or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matter.
• Obtains input from business lines as necessary to carry out planned financial projects and programs; coaches the business lines on the most practical means of attaining the financial planned objectives and solving day-to-day operational problems.
• Manages the Leasing, Revenue/FFO, or one or more of the Financial Management Programs for a Zone, consisting of one or more Regions. This includes processing, reporting, clean-up, and monitoring activities, and policy interpretation.
