The Inclusion Service are looking for a Graduated Response Inclusion Practitioner to join our team. You will be working face to face with children and young people who are experiencing challenges in accessing education, to explore the barriers and support them to re-engage.

About the Role

Graduated Response Inclusion Practitioners work directly with children, young people, their families and professionals in a variety of settings; to enable them to re-engage in education.

Supported by the Education Officer and your Manager, you will be expected to manage a caseload of children and young people. You will provide a package of support to increase children and young people’s access to education. You will identify barriers, find solutions and act as advocate, so that schools can make suitable reasonable adjustments.

You will be part of the staff team primarily covering the West of the county, and part of the wider Inclusion Service Team covering the whole county. Travel across the county is therefore necessary, along with a flexible approach, as some out of hours working may be required. All work undertaken must be regularly recorded on our database.

This is a rewarding job delivering interventions with children and young people, supporting them to re-engage in education, employment and training, empowering them for their future, and giving you a chance to be part of a dynamic team.

About You

• A relevant level 3 qualification
• Experience of engaging with children, young people and their families who are at risk of missing out on educational opportunities
• Good organisational skills with an ability to work to deadlines. Good listening and communication skills both orally and in writing
• An ability to relate to parents/carers who may be under considerable stress
• Knowledge of child development and an awareness of differing needs of children and young people
• Knowledge of the education system, reasonable adjustments, specialist provision and the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planning Technician within the Highway Development Management (HDM) Team at Leicestershire County Council.

About the Role

As Transport Planning Technician within the HDM team, your responsibilities would include (but not be limited to):

• Maintaining and updating the HDM electronic system (currently MasterGov) for recording, providing and monitoring consultation responses.
• Providing a superuser role for MasterGov including developing appropriate training manuals, providing appropriate training, representing the team on the corporate working group, liaising with the system provider to maintain and develop the system and managing access rights to the system.
• Monitoring and managing consultations and correspondence arriving through the HDM generic inbox.
• Providing administrative support in the provision of the HDM system including processing invoices as appropriate and to provide reports giving management and performance data.
• Monitoring and reviewing consultations on planning applications and pre-application enquiries and ensuring appropriate information is input onto electronic systems to record and monitor progress.

About You

• GCSE English Language and Mathematics Grades A – C or equivalent, or relevant demonstrable experience.
• Use of MS Office programmes and use of GIS (geographical information systems) mapping software.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate recording of information.
• Ability to work to tight timescales, agreed timescales and be able to manage your own workload.
• Ability to search and interrogate systems in order to extract relevant information and produce reports.

Are you a dedicated, flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic care professional with a passion for supporting people within their own homes? If so, then a role within our Home Care Assessment and Reablement Team (HART) might be right up your street.

About the Role

The HART service helps people to return home from hospital or prevents them from being admitted, by supporting them to regain their independence. As a HART Support Worker in HART, you will provide short, intensive reablement support to people with disabilities and those who are frail and recovering from illness or injury, focusing on helping them to restore their optimum level of independence. You will be required to motivate them to help them build their confidence by identifying their goals and providing positive feedback about their progress and achievements.

The support you provide may include helping with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing/undressing, showering, bathing, meal preparation, domestic activities, and engaging in community activities. You will also be required to support with identifying suitable assistive technology equipment and demonstrating its safe use, as well as advising on strategies for managing fatigue and pain, and preventing falls.

You will be required to work shifts on a rota that operates between 7.00am and 10.00pm including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
