ROLE OVERVIEW

The Category Procurement Manager – MRO, reporting to the Senior Category Manager – Plant Services, will champion strategic sourcing activities for MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) - related goods and services as well as other assigned categories across the North America sites. This individual contributor position manages ~$90 million in annual spend for over 30 manufacturing sites. This position is responsible for the development of category sourcing strategies across the region as well as being directly responsible for the execution of these strategies, including day-to-day interaction with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure an uninterrupted supply of quality goods at optimum cost. The Manager collaborates and works closely with other functions in the organization to implement Total Cost of Ownership improvement opportunities within the category.

About the Role

Reporting to the Performance Manager, a full time position is now available for a Dispute Resolution Specialist to join the team based in our Melbourne, Docklands head office.

The primary purpose of this role is to support the achievement of Customer Operations key objectives through best practice complaint management to deliver sustainable resolutions to complex and escalated complaints received within the Dispute Resolution Team with a key focus on telco.

This role will require you to work directly with customers and stakeholders to resolve complex and varied complaints and issues (including working directly with external parties such as Ombudsman bodies for Energy &/or Telecommunications and distributors).

Within this role you will also be required to proactively analyse complaint trends and root cause drivers to bring the voice of customer to life with the aim of identifying and delivering initiatives to improve business efficiency, enhance customer experience, reduce customer pain points and complaint cost to serve.

Key accountabilities of this role:

• Timely and accurate resolution of Ombudsman complaints requiring investigation or internal escalated complaints. This is achieved through case management ownership, accountability for timely and high-quality investigation, negotiation and putting forward sustainable solutions. 

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with your Scheme counterparts by being the point of contact for your cases, ensuring the provision of full, detailed and quality investigation responses in agreed format, calling through to conciliators prior to case submissions to talk through the outcome of the investigation, the proposed resolution, and any further information requirements within SLAs.

• Ensuring that investigations are compliant with the Ombudsman’s expectations and regulations and guidelines set out by either the Essential Services Commission, the Australian Energy Regulator for Energy or the Australian Communications and Media Authority for Telecommunications. All upgrades should be assessed for areas of improvement and compliance and challenged or fed back to the relevant business where appropriate.

• Monitoring of ageing and upgrades to ensure work is being completed within defined SLAs, along with proactive intervention and escalation of cases that threaten to fall outside SLA to ensure that customer issues are resolved as quickly as possible.

• Proactively engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their business objectives; provide regular performance updates to and solicit regular feedback on performance.

• Where required, provide subject matter expertise and input into AGL process forums, projects, user acceptance testing processes pertaining to your process area/s of expertise, or formally represent the Dispute Resolution team in process and system review forums as nominated with delegated decision-making authority in these forums on behalf of the Dispute Resolution Team.

• Prompt escalation of distributor / wholesaler related issues and potential systemic issues to relevant functional areas. Ensuring risks and issues are flagged in the risk and issues registers.

• Management of operational change resulting from system, regulatory and process updates and notifications

About the Role

Reporting to the Vendor and Strategic Initiatives Manager, a newly  created position has become available on a full time basis for a Vendor Specialist to join the team in our Docklands head office.

The primary purpose of this role is to undertake analysis to seek, develop, and help implement Vendor onboarding and offboarding for the Contact Centres. They will also work with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate service provider support and related initiatives.

You will work closely with various teams and the wider Customer Service team to put a strong contractual governance for Vendors and holding them accountable including ensuring that they are delivering their KPIs/SLAs. You will work closely with Procurement and Legal for RFP process and assist your manager with legal and commercial negotiations and ensure the close coordination and ensuring the achievement of expected outcomes.

Key accountabilities of this role:

• Engage with existing Vendors, internal and external stakeholders in establishing Contractual Governance including holding vendors accountable for their contractual obligations and promises made during the RFP Stage

• Ensuring all change requests are up to date and formally documented with vendors

• Assessing the performance of vendors in line with agreed KPIs/SLAs

• Supporting leadership in running and analysis of RFPs, comparing BAFOs and creating business case to finalise the RFP recommendations

• Completes necessary due diligence while working with Personal Lending Specialists and partners to establish terms of credit, and produce prudent credit facilities that reflect strong knowledge of CWB policies and procedures

• Actively engage, challenge and respond to Credit Risk Management partners for structuring, alignment, and recommendation of highly complex Personal borrowing solutions while balancing risk and reward in line with CWB’s risk appetite.

• Ensure awareness of changes within the Canadian banking landscape specific to Personal Lending as outlined in the Residential Mortgage Underwriting Policy (RMUP)

• Identify potential risk that can lead to difficulty in repayment or potential default on the loan

• Proper AML/KYC practices and loan portfolio management with focus on loan quality, exposure limits and security requirements.

Qualifications, key skills and experience required:

• Proficient in regulatory guidelines and the energy industry.

• Expertise in credit management and collections, particularly in the energy sector.

• Skilled in analysing processes, identifying root causes, and driving solutions.

• Ability to provide key insights, and use data as the basis to tell a story

• Strong analytical and reporting abilities with keen attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven experience as a business/operational analyst in similar industries.

• Accuracy and attention to detail, with high verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated success in delivering operational changes.

• Familiarity with process management and understanding of business drivers, especially in utilities.

• Experience in project and/or change management.
