Position Title: Facility Planner
Reports to: Facilities Manager
Location: Zeeland, MI
Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (weekends as needed based on projects)

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for planning/scheduling Facility repairs. In this role you would be responsible for obtaining repair quotes, creating requisitions for that work, and managing those projects to completion. These projects include but are not limited to lawn upkeep, snow removal, parking lot maintenance, roof repairs/replacements, flooring repairs/replacements, caulking, painting, dock doors, dock lock, battery chargers and other misc. Facility repairs. You would be responsible for training all contractors that you have on site following Tyson’s standard. You may also be asked to search the ISN website to find new contractors to quote/do work here at Tyson. Facilitating and managing monthly complex audits to make sure the facility is in audit ready compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain SAP PM System data and reporting.
- Analyze data for use in Facility planning and scheduling.
- Maintain and develop enterprise-wide Best Practice preventative maintenance.
- Ensure a continuous review of P.M. work orders in relation to equipment history.
- Make recommended modifications to optimize equipment reliability and maintenance labor utilization.
- Learn universal maintenance standards to develop reasonable expectancies for task completion time.
- Identify and label all new equipment in keeping with Tyson standards and keep records current.
- Use Key Performance Indicators to provide fact-based feedback to the Maintenance Manager.
- Plan Facility work considering the level of skill and safety training required for each task.
- Review SAP data from other Tyson locations with similar equipment and report findings and recommendations.
- Administer Facility shift scheduling, work order backlog, and recommend planning for scheduled downtime work.
- Schedule availability of parts for maintenance tasks.
- Interface with engineering, local management, Operations Support, and various other corporate departments as necessary.
- Collaborate with outside entities when working on special projects and when developing CIR (Continuous Improvement Request) development content.
- Interface with Operations Support concerning appropriate reports to develop, track, and report to management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Minimum of a high school or GED diploma. Any special training in maintenance or education beyond post high school level is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in job running and facility repairs and maintenance. Quoting and SAP experience is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Special Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, organizational skills, interpersonal communication skills and problem-solving skills are an absolute necessity for this position. The position requires the ability to work independently.

- Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year
INTERNAL REQUIREMENTS:
• No more than 4 attendance points for locations on an 8-point policy
• No written warnings in the past six (6) months
• No suspensions on record for the last 12 months
