The University has an ambitious Strategy Inspiring the remarkable, and as the Procurement Data Analyst you will play a pivotal role in supporting the procurement and contracts team in enabling the University to achieve its goals. Whether it’s providing data-based advice, summarising team output data in dashboards or managing systems used by the team, your role will enable our team to focus on what is important. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced data analyst to join our team in a role that will underpin the delivery of our strategy.
About the role
You will:
• Provide evidence based decision-making advice to aid management decisions, through detailed manipulation and analysis of large data sets.
• Provide analysis and reporting that, allows the University to target specific category areas that offer commercial opportunity
• Respond to requests for data and information from a wide variety of colleagues across the University and external organisations, with excellent levels of customer service, ensuring that outputs are appropriate to the target audience
• Regularly draft reports and deliver briefings and presentations
• Be able to manage procurement and contract management systems including, but not limited to, In-Tend, supplier eMarketplace, SharePoint Lists etc
What you’ll bring
• Be an excellent team player with a proven ability to work proactively and independently.
• Be well organised and adaptable, taking a positive approach to managing a busy workload.
• A skill level equivalent to achievement of HND, Degree, NVQ4 with a strong business analysis / data analysis /market research content.
• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Power BI would be desirable
• Excellent IT skills particularly advanced Excel and PowerPoint
• A high level of numeracy coupled with a proven ability to accurately analyse and interpret complex datasets
