About The Role
To work alongside all guest services departments in a large shopping centre and an operational control room

Assisting in other general duties as requested by Senior Management and working towards streamlining processes. You will be working on a rotating 4-day-on-4-day-off shift pattern, 20:00 to 08:00, 42 hours per week, on a permanent, full-time basis. Main Duties:

• Ensuring your SIA license is always with you whilst on duty and any changes to license details are communicated.
• To carry out all procedures as laid out in the Assignment Instruction
• To carry out CCTV observations and support as part of shift pattern
• To lock and unlock the site as and when requested.
• Assist in the emergency evacuation of the centre:mk as required.
• To liaise with emergency services when needed
• Providing guidance and requests to Security officers
• To assist, in the common areas, any retail unit security with any stops they make
• To administer First Aid as and when required & to attend all training and development courses as instructed.
• The ability to identify and escalate matters which require remedial action is critical in this role.
• Liaising and maintaining close working relationships with All Guest Service teams.
• To report any defect and/or incident to the Mall Supervisor and carry out any required investigation.
• Event porterage service to support client requirements.
• To provide holiday and sickness cover as required.
• Any other tasks/activities required.

To be successful in the role, you will need:

• Previous experience of working within Security
• Experience of working within both a reactive and proactive environment (essential)
• Operational experience (preferred)

Job Overview

You are required to provide safety and security to our customer's property, people and/or assets in line with the published Assignment Instructions, delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators. Provide exceptional customer service to both staff and visitors alike, as well as undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development, all whilst upholding both Mitie and our clients reputation.

Main Duties

-Use ASCONE to maintain the security of the site.

-Conduct regular patrols of the site.

-Deliver customer service to both staff and visitors.

-Support the staff with any reasonable request.

-Ensure the relevant reports are completed in order for accurate information to be recorded.

Training

For this role, you will be required to fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training, as well as undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Operations Manager. You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.

Security and Health & Safety

-Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.

-Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage, whilst using common sense and initiative to ensure the situation does not become threatening.

-To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.

-Complete an accurate and detailed entry of any incidents that occur on the system provided on site.

-To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.

As a Public Affairs and Public Policy Manager you'll play a key role in helping Santander UK manage its relationships and engagement with political and policy audiences. You'll get to work across a range of issues which impact the bank and its customers, helping to develop our policy positions and supporting senior leaders when engaging with external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Public Affairs and Public Policy Senior Manager, you'll help Santander UK navigate the political landscape, and help shape public policy so that the bank can best deliver for its customers. We work closely with colleagues across the business, and you will gain particular exposure to our Communications and Regulatory Relations teams in the UK and abroad.

The difference you'll make:

• Supporting the Public Affairs and Public Policy team in developing our public affairs and public policy approach

• Managing communications with MPs and other political stakeholders to develop a positive and productive dialogue, particularly around our work supporting the Santander Universities programme

• Briefing senior stakeholders within the business ahead of external engagement

• Working closely with colleagues within the Communications, Marketing and Responsible Banking directorate to maximise our impact and grow the profile of the Public Affairs and Public Policy team within the business

• Identifying opportunities and risks for Santander UK within public policy debates, particularly around the upcoming UK General Election

What you'll bring:

• Excellent understanding of the UK political landscape and how to engage with the public policy landscape

• Extensive experience working in a public affairs or public policy role. This could be working for Government, for a corporate affairs agency or in-house

It would also be nice for you to have:

• Brilliant written and spoken communication skills

• Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm to support across a wide variety of policy areas

• Experience working with senior stakeholders, internally and externally

• An understanding of financial services and the key public policy issues for the sector
