This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management Coordinator to join our team here in Exeter. As our Housing and Property Management Coordinator, you’ll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained.
Typical day as a Housing Management Coordinator
- As our Housing Management Coordinator at Northgate Court no two days will be the same, from booking planned works, dealing with emergency property issues, or being a sounding board for our amazing customers to talk about issues in their lives.
- Our customers come from a range of backgrounds, all customers are over 18 and have experienced homelessness.
- Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, you’ll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their licence agreements.
- Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
- Where there is a need, you’ll also issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to attending court.
- Getting rooms ready for the next customers who needs our help and for maximum occupancy, you’ll turn around vacant or void within set timescales.
- Ensuring we are health and safety compliant and that maintenance standards are met.

You bring
- Experience in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties.
- Know-how of re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal legal action when needed.
- Able to work within a small team of three Housing Management Coordinators, offering guidance and support to your colleagues and customers.
- The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
- A “can do” positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.
- Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners

Our team
You will join our newly formed ETAAS team supporting customers rebuild their lives after periods of street homelessness or a breakdown in current accommodation, alongside Tracey and our amazing concierge and support team.
Calvin is our service manager, who joined Homegroup as a Night Support Coordinator and now is managing the service as part of our Grow Our Own initiative. He is passionate that with the right support and guidance we can ensure the most vulnerable people in society can receive person centred support.
Job details
- Four week rolling rota to include working one in every three weekends, working. 11.5 hrs shifts, 3-4 days per week
- Based at our services in Exeter (across two City Centre locations)
- Passionate about supporting customers who need a helping hand to rebuild their lives.
- Focus on Health and Safety compliance, keeping both services complaint with Homegroup and National/Local legislation.
- Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups,
- You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
