HTA Design LLP is an award winning multi-disciplinary design partnership of specialist teams working collaboratively in Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Communications Design, Sustainability, and Planning.

Working alongside senior designers, architects, and planners, the Graduate/Junior Urban Designer will contribute to the design and planning of sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing urban environments. The role will involve developing urban design strategies, creating visual materials, and ensuring that projects align with local and national planning policies.

You will work on a diverse range of projects, including strategic visions, masterplans, feasibility studies, and the production of Parameter Plans and Design Codes for Planning Applications. Additional responsibilities include contributing to planning, research, and design for town centre regeneration, capacity studies, characterisation, tall building and visual impact assessments, and assisting with public consultations and stakeholder engagement.

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will have:

-Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Urban Design, Planning, Architecture, or equivalent architectural related degree.

-Some experience working on medium to large-scale urban or suburban housing design and master planning projects would be highly beneficial.

-An understanding of urban design best practice and UK planning policy.

- Some experience of survey and analysis of sites, preparation of base plans and supporting material required for urban design and master planning work is desirable.

-Strong visual and graphic design skills with proficiency in all or some of the following software packages: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and GIS tools.

-Displays confidence in employing a range of hand drawn and technical drawing skills to a good level.

- Able to use various computer software programmes including but not limited to: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Affinity, SketchUp to create supporting materials.
Ability to carry out research and analyse urban environments, design trends, and planning policies.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong collaborative internal and external working relationships.

-Good attention to detail with the ability to apply creative thought and energy to a range of projects.

- Liaises with our Bangladeshi and Indian staff to clarify aims of project brief, discusses media, software and technology to be used, establishes timetable for project and defines budgetary constraints;
- undertakes research into project, considers previous related projects and compares costs of using different processes;
- prepares sketches, models, colour schemes and other mock-ups to show staff and partners and discusses any required alterations;
- prepares specification and instructions for realisation of the project;

Ecommerce Content Design Assistant

£24,600- £27,500 plus benefits (Work Level 6B)

We're looking for a motivated Ecommerce Content Assistant to join us to create and manage media and campaign assets across our Co-op websites. It's a big job. But if you have the ecommerce experience and natural communication skills that we're after, then we can offer you the chance to define your profile with a business that puts people at the heart of its strategy.

In this varied role, you'll work cross-functionally with our internal Web Merchandising team, media centre and third-party agencies. Your main responsibility will be to implement both Co-op campaigns and branded media activity on our Co-op website. The role will work across a range of web-based projects, and we'll look to you to create assets such as web banners and landing pages to improve the customer experience.

What you'll do

• Implement media and assets onto the Co-op website to agreed standards and deadlines
• Apply a project management mindset to making sure media is executed on the site weekly
• Work with our third-party creative agency, to make sure that assets are ready to upload to our CMS (content management system)
• Collaborate with the Marketing team on upcoming campaigns
• Carry out post campaign analysis to understand how web campaigns have performed, and suggest improvements
• Build digital assets such as banners to feature on the website

This role would suit people who have

• A background in ecommerce with a passion for digital and online strategy
• Previous design experience, and experience of using Adobe Photoshop or similar
• The ability to capture and analyse data
• A basic understanding of content management system
• Good organisation skills, and great relationship building skills with the ability to work cross functionally

Working as part of the Design & Technical Team and reporting to the Senior Design & Technical Manager you will assist in the coordination of the technical design for the construction of three new build projects in the North-West. There will be travel required between the sites with two days based in the office.

You will have previous experience working for a contractor or developer in the housing sector and an understanding of the Building Regulations and renewable technologies will be essential.

For this post, you will need good problem-solving, communication and analytical skills. Also, project management skills and a high level of computer literacy will be required.
