What skills and experience we're looking for

We have an exciting opportunity for a teacher of art to join a large and well-resourced curriculum team. Design technology and art are extremely popular at both GCSE and A Level, and we offer a wide range of subjects. Each subject area (product design, textiles, food, art, engineering, construction, creative technology, and child development) consists of at least 2 specialist rooms with a compliment of specialist resources as well as our own computer suite. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Design Manager to work on our projects within the infrastructure division. You will be responsible for managing the design aspects of tenders and current projects.

You will be required to be based on our project at Hornsea 3 in Norwich for 3 months and then back into the Midlands.

About you

• The successful candidate will have experience of working for a main contractor on civil engineering projects, ideally finished to a high standard
• Experience in Design Assurance and Documentation requirements.
• Knowledge of Design & Engineering Procedures
• Have a solid understanding of design processes, CAD systems, drawings and models
• HND/HNC/Degree or equivalent
• Membership of relevant Professional Institute i.e. CIOB
• Ability to lead and provide a professional, comprehensive and sustainable design service for the Client at Bid/Delivery stage
• Experience on both single stage tenders and preferred terms work procurement routes
• Experience on bidding and winning work

Your new role will involve facilitating and assisting with the design and construction of expanding operations. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing the facilities and mechanical infrastructure, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of the industry. What you'll need to succeed
What you'll need to succeed includes a degree in Engineering and at least three years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment. You should have experience in heavy steel design work, ideally within the handling industry, and be proficient in SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD 2D. Strong site survey skills, the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and knowledge of hydraulics and electric systems are essential. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are also required.
