Position Summary

Thales is looking to hire a Data Coordinator who will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy and consistency between the AJISS program data and the Royal Canadian Navy’s DRIMS data management system to assist the project team’s day-to-day running of programs. The Data Coordinator shall ensure that all project deliverables are prepared, communicated, and delivered to the customer in an effective and timely manner with highest quality. 

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Prepare and format reports and contract deliverables using in-house templates as well as customer provided templates; Follow company policies and processes and maintain all aspects of electronic filing systems including logging, retention, and disposal; Prepare for all aspects of in-house meetings, including coordination, record of discussion and action items tracking.
• Work with both internal and external tools such as TFS, SFTP, SharePoint, IPESA to manage activities and workflow issues (monthly reports, deliverables, etc.).
• Manage all aspects of incoming and outgoing correspondence in DRIMS and respond to project team members’ inquiries; Manage competing priorities while supporting several projects; Transcribe Engineering, Maintenance and Scheduling data from multiple sources (Email, Excel, Omega PS) into SAP and DRIMS.
• Work closely with cross functional teams such as Coastal Engineering, and Ship Scheduling on project requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Diploma in Office Administration or equivalent; Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience working within an Engineering or Defense environment.
• Experience with SAP or DRIMS

• Receiving - verify & inspect incoming material & documentation, process receipts, track shipments.

• Shipping - prepare domestic, US & international outgoing freight IAW packaging specifications; complete documentation and labelling, comply with customs & export requirements.

• Process requisitions, issue, pick, package & move material; distribute parts for customer delivery.

• Inventory control functions including cycle counting, stocktaking tasks & investigations. Also, monitor stocking levels & shelf-life inventory, review and recommend adjustments.

• Take lead role in the AJISS Test & Trial development and management of the In-Service Trial Agenda (ISTA) program for the Department of National Defense (DND).
• Work with the AJISS Engineering and Service Delivery teams to commission systems and equipment following preventative and corrective maintenance; Identify and manage system requirements to support verification and validation (V&V) activities.

Position Summary

Le concepteur électronique participe au développement et au support de divers assemblages de cartes de circuits électronique nouveaux et existants. Thales Canada Defense and Security, in partnership with MODIS and KWESST, has recently been awarded a contract to support, sustain, operate, and evolve the Information Technology Information Technology Infrastructure and Engineering Environments used by Department of National Defence (DND) DIRECTORATE LAND COMMAND SYSTEMS PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE ENGINEERING FACILITY team. More specifically, supporting the Software Engineering Facility Local Areas Network (DSEF) LAN, manage and support activities related to DLSCPM test environments including various unclassified and classified test lab environments, and at various service levels; and support any additional communities of interest and technical environments as required.

In support of this program, the Network Administrator will be responsible for administering one or more computer networks that employ a broad variety of hardware, software, applications, operating systems and environments. This role is also responsible for monitoring and managing network performance and availability, including but not limited to troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity and performance issues.

Key Areas of Responsibility

As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for the following:
