Dr Cai Yu Group: Postdoctoral Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team to explore the interaction between Aedes mosquitoes and the symbiotic bacteria Wolbachia. This position aims to deepen our understanding of mosquito-bacteria interactions and contribute to develop innovative vector control strategies.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will conduct in-depth research on the interaction between Aedes mosquitoes and Wolbachia, focusing on their biology to understand their molecular and genetic interaction. He/she will also explore how Wolbachia affects mosquito physiology, behaviour and vector competence.

Requirements:

• PhD from a reputable university
• At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed international journal
• Strong expertise in entomology, genetics, cell and molecular biology, with a solid understanding of insect biology
