You will need to:
- be a qualified, registered social worker
- have completed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) for grade 6 Senior Social Worker posts
- have good knowledge, understanding and experience of working with relevant legislation in practice.

We currently have the following vacancies:
1 x Senior Social Worker - Lowestoft. Neighbourhood Team is a large and busy team working with people with a variety of complex needs and behaviours. The team work to promote independence and balance risk with safeguarding vulnerable adults, carrying out assessments under the Care Act. Including Court of Protection and S42 Investigations.
1x Social Worker – Felixstowe INT. Felixstowe Integrated Neighbourhood Team, is a small yet busy team. We are co-located and work closely with our health partners to ensure quality integrated care. We carry out a range of assessments including Care and Support Plans, Reviews and Safeguarding enquiries. Our aim is to keep People at The Heart of Care whilst promoting Independence and Wellbeing.
1 x Senior Social Worker – Waveney Mental Health. The Waveney Mental Health Social Care Team is based at Riverside in Lowestoft and comprises of a Team Manager, Senior Practitioner, Social Workers and Independence and Wellbeing Practitioners. We enable people to manage the social factors in their lives—like relationships, housing, and employment—that allow them to get well and stay well. Building resilience in individuals, their networks, and their communities.
We work closely with secondary mental health teams to work collaboratively in meeting the health and social care needs of an individual. Secondary and Primary mental health care is responsible for the treatment of a person's mental ill health, we are responsible for meeting the social care needs. We carry out the same statutory duties as any other social care team in accordance with the Care Act 2014 with some additional duties in accordance with the Mental Health Act 1983.
2 x Social Worker and 2 Senior Social Worker – Mental Health East. The Mental Health East team works with those open to Secondary Mental Health Services in the East in order to ensure all needs are met under the appropriate legislation and recovery is promoted. Friendly and supportive team with regular Mental Health Service workshops to enhance understanding and knowledge.
1 x Social Worker – Mental Health South. The Mental Health South team works with those open to Secondary Mental Health Services in Ipswich in order to ensure all needs are met under the appropriate legislation and recovery is promoted. Friendly and supportive team with regular Mental Health Service workshops to enhance understanding and knowledge.
Please note that the Hospital Teams operate a 7-day working pattern, so a weekend working rota (approximately 1 weekend per month) would apply.
Travel requirements of the role: Frequent Travel
This organisation positively encourages the use of technology to communicate and engage, but in this role, you will need to operate across a wide and rural area, so you must either hold a full and current driving licence and have access to personal transport or meet the mobility requirements of the role through other reasonable and suitable means.
