• To perform role of WSHO/ECO as per stipulated legislation
• Oversee and lead the Safety team & subcontractors in the implementation of Company’s
  safety systems at sites
• Liaise closely with site operations staff and Project Managers on all safety and health issues
• Conduct & organize internal / external WSH trainings for staffs
• Conduct incident investigations & propose corrective actions
• To review OHSMS and provide recommendations for improvement of safety;
• To conduct regular inspection and audits on the safety provisions;
• To ensure implementation, control and enforce of safety on site;
• Conduct, review & submit Risk Assessments
• Prepare safe work procedures for site activities
• Update the project team on the latest MOM safety news
• Monitor that all staff and workers comply with the safety rules & regulation

• Monitor job progress and ensure that M&E contracted works meets all practical, commercial, requirements of productivity, quality and contract target completions;

• Ensure all M&E work is carried outwithin established budgets and schedules;

• Liaising with consultant to ensure all design work conforms to the codes and standards used by the client, or to agreed industry standards.

• Manage internal and external M&E contractors well to ensure quality of work and scope of work is within specifications.

• To M&E coordinate with subcontractors/suppliers to execute contract works.

• Responsible for all inspection activities being carried out.

• Assist in M&E planning, schedule and technical support to M&E Manager

Job Description

The role of Project Engineer provides technical expertise to the management and execution of engineering projects. This role require candidate to plan, coordinate, and see projects to completion. They are responsible for the quality, efficiency, and profitability of the project and ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget. The Project Engineer will work closely with different teams, including project managers, engineers, clients, consultants, and contractors to make coordination for projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and perform engineering/design execution, planning, and interface and ensure that activities are completed on schedule and within the budget.
• Prepare project execution and quality plans, projects plan of works, initial projects safety review, initial projects environmental review, and project control system.
• Coordinate with project managers, discipline engineers, designers, drafters and field staff, and ensure consistency in execution of project activities.
• Organize and conduct project meetings, technical, and progress reviews.
• Initiate and complete projects close-out and archiving.
• Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
• Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
• Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
• Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
• Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
• Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
• Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
• Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
• Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains project data base by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data.
• To be register as technical personnel for BCA Registration
• Ad- hoc duties assigned

Requirements

· Diploma / Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering recognised by Professional Engineer Board

· At least 3 - 5 year(s) of relevant experiences in construction industry.

· Strong interest in construction-built environment industry

· Innovative mindset and willingness to learn new skills

• Knowledge of Autocad would be an advantage
• Good communicative skills, able to interact with people of all levels and teamwork
