[What you will be working on]

The school is looking for dynamic individuals with a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 

You will be involved in making a significant impact in keeping up with RP’s CET plans and future goals.

•    Analyse market trends and data to propose training courses and implement marketing campaigns by utilizing insights to attract prospective applicants.
•    Engage with companies, tailoring CET programs to meet specific workforce upskilling requirements. Propose customization will be the bridge between corporate needs and course delivery.
•    Drive marketing efforts through physical events and social media initiatives. Enhance the online presence of our CET offerings, captivating both individual learners and corporate accounts alike.

As an academic staff, you will also support our full time and part-time course offerings in areas related to Software Development, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, FinTech, AI and other foundational ICT modules.
•    Implement and administer module delivery, related activities (including student assessments and assignments) to meet learning outcomes. 
•    Plan, design and develop module curriculum, learning activities and materials.

Applicants should have a relevant qualification in IT / Computer Science, with a minimum of 2 years’ industry experience. Applicants should be proficient in two or more of the following areas:

[What you will be working on]

The successful candidate will be instrumental in:

• Designing and developing machine learning models to accurately analyze data collected from wearables and IoT devices, focusing on gait parameters, fitness assessments, stress detection, fatigue monitoring, and health indicators like spO2 and heart rate variability.
• Collaborating with the project team on research data collection, analysis, and the administration of the project's technological aspects.
• Contributing to the development of the user experience (UX) of the IntelliCARE system, ensuring it delivers actionable insights and recommendations to seniors and caregivers.
• Assisting in the preparation of project reports and documentation.
• Managing ad-hoc research activities and assignments related to the project's goals.

The successful candidate will be placed on a 24-month contract.

[What you will be working on]

The Associate Lecturer will contribute and deliver a Continuing Education Training (CET) course in one or more of the following areas: 

• Fencing Coach Level 1 (Full Integration) course;

• The CET Associate Lecturer will conduct and deliver theoretical and practical sessions in the areas of:

- fencing terminology, basic rules, and classification of Basic Fencing Strategic elements;

- introducing, developing, and improving basic fencing skills;

- planning and delivering a group session safely using the delivery process skills of: instruction and explanation, providing demonstrations, observation and analysis and providing feedback;

- SG Coach level 1 modules integrated into Fencing;

- Foundational Sports Science (FSS) modules integrated into Fencing.

• Able to perform other administrative tasks, such as invigilation and marking of assessment.

Job Requirements 

• Possess international fencing coaching qualifications recognised by International Fencing Federation (FIE) AND Fencing Singapore;

• Minimum 4 years of coaching experience;

• Training and Adult Education (TAE) Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) such as Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) and Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) or equivalent training and development in adult learning will be advantageous;

The Project Staff will contribute and support in the following areas:

• Assist in the meticulous documentation of exercise programs and methodologies devised by our team.
• Support the development and documentation of exercise programs, ensuring their alignment with our project goals.
• Aid in system development through data analysis and the application of machine learning techniques.
• Participate in the content creation process, including filming and post-production activities for exercise programs and fitness assessments.
• Conduct prototype testing and user experience evaluations with end users, capturing vital feedback and insights.

• Support as secretariat of Campus Rejuvenation (CR) Committee and manage the CR project to rejuvenate Campus Infrastructure, Teaching & Learning Facilities from planning stage till the successful handover of the rejuvenated buildings to RP.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to collate detailed users’ requirements from schools, centres, offices and departments from concept design to detailed design, including to manage the design-change requests.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to minimise disruptions to campus operations especially academic lessons with the provisions of the decanting facilities throughout the construction phases, including prioritising the phases based on needs and functions.
• Prepare the budget papers, cashflow projections and decanting scheduling for Office of Estates (OES) to seek Senior Management such as Development Committee (DC), Board of Governors (BOG) and eventually Ministry of Education’s (MOE) approval.
• Manage contract administration of the multi-disciplinary consultancy tenders and construction tenders including procurement, specification formulation, evaluation, recommendation and site work implementation.
• Manage the performance of the main contractors, consultants and Managing Agent to uphold the quality services.
• Oversee the project management of minor renovation, addition & alteration works including facilities management to support OES departmental roles and functions.

• Possess background in Project Management Services, Construction Services, Building Services, Engineering or related field with at least 3 years of relevant working experience preferred. Experience in government procurement, managing multi-disciplinary consultants and submissions to regulatory authorities will be an added advantage.

• Strategise, develop and implement impactful industry-related initiatives and programmes with diversified stakeholders to achieve corporate outcomes;

Donor Development and Stewardship

• Develop and oversee the implementation of fundraising initiatives in support of the polytechnic’s education, annual giving, major gifts, endowment, scholarships and other institutional-related donations programmes;

• Provide stewardship and engagement of current donors to ensure continuity of support and sustainability of donations in support of education for our students;

• Engage and maintain positive relationships with donors, grant making organisations and corporates

• Lead the administration and support the secretariat functions of the polytechnic’s education funds

[What you will be working on]

• Work in collaboration with various stakeholders to develop and implement individual care and support plans for students with SEN

• Administer SEN fund applications, and the procurement of assistive technology devices and services for students with SEN

• Proper documentation of case consultation records and data management of SEN support

• Organise programmes to promote SEN awareness and inclusive education

• Plan and coordinate SEN related training programmes for, and provide consultation to staff on supporting students with SEN

• Plan and coordinate programmes and workshops to prepare students with SEN for internship

• Develop individualized job accommodation plans for students with SEN to facilitate their transition to internship.

• Provide consultation to internship partners on the customisation of job scopes for students with SEN and build their capability to better manage students with SEN in the workplace

• Provide onsite job coaching for students with SEN on internship when required

• Collaborate with external stakeholders on job-readiness training and support, as well as job placement programmes for graduating students with SEN

• Network with organizations to promote hiring of students with SEN (for internship and full-time employment)
