You will report to the AVP of Underwriting and work closely with the products and actuarial teams.  You will play an important role in the start-up and long-term success of this business by helping to define the structure and operating model of the underwriting organization.

• Evaluate and select risk to ensure the profitable acquisition of new business and the continued profitable retention of in-force business.

• Strong ability to partner with our Distribution sales team, brokers and all internal partners.

• Consult with our distribution partners to provide the products and plan options that meets the needs of our clients.

• Adhere to underwriting procedures and guidelines, while developing strong sales Rep and producer relationships.

• Exhibit strong product knowledge (dental, vision, life, disability and supplemental health).

• Strong understanding of the sales, implementation and enrollment process and market trends.

• Conduct high quality risk assessments across all case sizes to ensure business guidelines, target profit and metrics are met.

• Possess the technical expertise to Identify and analyze risk trends and provide recommendations to address.

• Collaboration with product development, actuarial/pricing and sales distribution.

• Assist with training, technical development and mentoring.

• Understand the business drivers and foster a digital-first philosophy.

The experience you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years in the group benefits underwriting field

• Comfortable learning and adopting new technologies

• Demonstrates consistent proficiency at the Underwriter level

• Strong problem solving and critical thinking/analytical reasoning skills

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities

• Experience underwriting our core products, group life, short and long term disability, dental, vision, and supplemental health products such as critical illness, hospital indemnity and accident is strongly preferred.

We’re actively seeking a talented Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer who will be responsible for the delivery of Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) products and capabilities required to support the enterprise infrastructure and business line applications.  In this role, you will lead the development of the IGA strategy and corresponding roadmaps considering the corporate strategy, industry security trends and regulatory requirements. You will also collaborate and coordinate with other IT leaders, technologists and support staffs to ensure the requirements are clearly defined and established timelines are met. Finally, you will work to improve and track the maturity of the IAM IGA products and capabilities showing increased adoption, speed to market, and resiliency. •  Serve as the IGA platform owner for the IAM department

We’re actively seeking a talented Senior Credit Analyst to join our Private Placement Investment team in Newport Beach, CA (hybrid work schedule).

As a Private Placement Credit Analyst, you will play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by supporting our team in conducting fundamental research on privately placed fixed income opportunities for inclusion in the company’s General Account.  Responsibilities include reviewing financial and legal documents and analyzing investment merits as well as industry dynamics and trends as the basis for making investment recommendations.  You will fill a role on the Private Placement Corporate Team, which currently consists of three investment professionals within the broader Pacific Life Investment department.  In addition, you will interact with other credit analysts and portfolio managers.

Job Description:

Pacific Life is investing in bright, agile and diverse new talent to contribute to our mission of innovating our business and creating a superior customer experience. We’re actively seeking a talented Identity and Access Management (IAM) Operations Engineer who will be responsible for the delivery of the Entra ID products and capabilities required to support the enterprise infrastructure and business line applications.  In this role you will implement and support the Entra ID strategy and corresponding roadmaps considering the corporate strategy, industry security trends and regulatory requirements. You will also collaborate and coordinate with other technologists and support staff to ensure the requirements are clearly defined and service level agreements are met. Finally, you will work to improve and track the maturity of the IAM services showing increased adoption, speed to market, and resiliency.

How you will make an impact:

• Serve as an Entra ID Operations Engineer for the IAM department
• Deliver and support the multi-year plan incorporating on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid directory services solutions
• Deliver and support the multi-year plan for workforce authentication leveraging SSO, MFA, and conditional access policies
• Define best practice and development of troubleshooting processes, methodologies, standards, alerts and reporting from Entra ID services to be leveraged for operational monitoring
• Provide monitoring and support of the integrated business applications and end-users ensuring the required uptime and resiliency
• Create solutions that drive full automation, self-service, and resiliency
• Identify, manage and escalate, as appropriate, project risks, issues, and roadblocks to timely delivery
• Partner with internal technical teams ensuring the strategy and roadmaps are well understood while monitoring the successful implementation
• Develop and implement program communications framework and metrics to ensure well-informed stakeholders, customers, and IAM colleagues
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of information security strategy and architecture

The experience you will bring:

• 10+ years Information Security experience, with strong focus in directory services platforms (e.g. MS Active Directory, MS Entra ID, AWS AD Connector, MS Office365)
• Detailed knowledge and experience in enabling and supporting integrated Entra ID applications, Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, and Conditional Access Policies
• Detailed knowledge and experience in supporting cloud joined, hybrid joined, and multi-domain enterprise directory services platforms based on best practices
• Detailed knowledge and experience with automating processes by leveraging out of box capabilities, PowerShell/Python scripting, MS Graph, and PowerBI
• Experience with Agile methodologies and corresponding Agile based tools
• Proven ability to influence and gain trust at senior management levels in multi-cultural environments
• Ability to manage complex activities simultaneously to short timescales
• Ability to demonstrate continuous improvement
• Clear understanding of CoBIT and ITIL Frameworks

What will make you stand out:

• BA/BS in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
• CISSP, CISM, CISA or other relevant security certifications and knowledge of ISO and NIST security standards preferred

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
