About the role.
The HR Advisor supports the HR team in delivering a variety of projects and being the first point of contact and providing advice
to Line Managers in need of Employee Relations Guidance.
You’ll aim to build Manager capability and guide them on Employee Relations policy and procedure, to protect the business in the
short term, and support positive evolution in the culture to minimise risk in the mid to long term.
The HR Advisor should also have a strong focus on keeping up to date with employment law and be keen to inject this learning into
updating Company policies and procedures, in line with legislative changes, best practise and business needs.
How you can expect to support day to day.
* Guide and support managers and employees on the stages on an employee lifecycle e.g., new starter process, induction, parental
leave, and exit interviews.
* Create manager guides to sit alongside HR policies and procedures, to provide the best possible support and guidance to
managers.
* Enjoy continuous improvement, looking at positive ways to drive efficiencies and streamline processes within the HR Team
* Contribute to HR analytics and insight development work
* Deliver new employee induction sessions and support employee on-boarding to help improve retention and reduce Employee
Relations issues in the longer term.
* Support HR Business Partners on occupational health assessments, including phased returns.
* Support and deliver HR project work
Who you are.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling ER case management and supporting on a range of casework, from sickness and
absence to grievances and disciplinaries.
To be successful in this role you’ll have great attention to detail, have strong time management and prioritisation skills,
demonstrate the courage to challenge and a high degree of integrity.
You will have previous experience working in an HR advisor position with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders, at
differing levels of seniority and capability, and you should be able to guide and advise them accordingly and demonstrate strong
communication skills to do so.
You’ll need to be Level 5 CIPD qualified (or working towards/ qualified by experience) and be keen to stay up to date with current
thinking and HR best practice.
