About the role

OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Specialist – Maintenance Shutdown who will be responsible for ensuring that shutdown plans are developed properly in line with AM11 – Shutdown Management guidelines. Responsible also for creating and overseeing maintenance shutdown and project schedules, ensuring that all tasks are executed and completed on time including planning and scheduling of all maintenance shutdown activities at the Process Fixed Plant areas. The role reports to the Superintendent – Shutdown.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to all relevant safety standards and environmental regulations;
• Identify shutdown-related work-scope and conduct a review to ensure the objectives are achieved;
•  Ensure detailed work order planning, including task breakdown and resource allocation and identify material requirements, tools, equipment, labour, and specialist support if needed. 
• Forecast all major shutdown works and ensure adherence to preventive maintenance schedules;
• Prepares shutdown plans while ensuring that deliverables are optimized for production efficiency;

Seeking a suitably qualified and reliable Process Technician who will be responsible to safely monitor, operate, and manage gold room processes and equipment to achieve the set target, to produce high quality Dore Bullion, maintain the gravity and gold room equipment, and optimizing its performance and efficiency. Also to ensure all equipment related to the Gold Room Facility are well maintained. The position will report to the Senior Metallurgist.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Conform to the safety standards, operation procedures and security protocols as set;
• Report any safety, environmental hazards and security incidents inside the Gold Room;
• Ensure that the products produced under supervision meet all specifications set by the Gold room Metallurgist targeting the highest purity of the Super-Concentrates with shake table operation, and Dore Bullion through Smelting;

OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Senior Engineer – Project Execution for a fixed term employment (2 years) who will be responsible in the execution and delivery of various projects planned to sustain mining operations and various external projects are completed safely, within an approved budget, and time frame. The role will assist the Section Superintendent in all areas of responsibilities within the section for the Business Services Department. The role will report to the Superintendent – Project Execution.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Adherence to OGPI procedures on Health and Safety having a strong commitment to  ensuring safe project execution. 
• Adherence to OGPI Contractor Management Procedures.
• Develop, manage, and lead a team of field engineers. 
• Provide oversight and administration to all projects being undertaken for the mining operations and community projects, this will include basic community infrastructure to major complex builds. 
•  Ensure all approved project construction plans are executed in accordance with specifications, schedule and budget requirements.
• Develop construction methodologies to ensure seamless execution, efficiency, provide scheduling opportunities, and properly manage risks involved in achieving target deliverables.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Perform daily safety checks of equipment;
• Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area;;
• Responsible in erecting beacon lights, signage and barricade prior to bogging;
• Responsible in identifying and correcting hazard prior to bogging;
• Operate other heavy equipment and other related duties as required if permitted/trained;

This is a key role for our Sustainability team and will support the coordination in developing, implementing, and monitoring company sustainability projects and activities to deliver on organisational sustainability strategy, governance, assurance, reporting and disclosure requirements.

Working closely with the Sustainability Manager, this role will provide support to the Sustainability Centre Function Leads in ensuring OceanaGold’s alignment with internal and external environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, and advising on existing and emerging sustainability and ESG regulatory requirements. Therefore, this role will best suit a motivated and collaborative operator, with a genuine interest in sustainability and a sound knowledge in sustainability-related principles, standards, and frameworks. You will: 

• Support the delivery of the Company’s annual corporate sustainability and ESG disclosures including delivery of the Company’s annual Sustainability Reporting Suite, S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, Carbon Disclosure Project, UN Global Compact Communications on Progress, Responsible Gold Mining Principles, Conflict Free Gold Mining Standards disclosures.
