OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The post holder will assist the Manager (Marketing & Admissions) to develop and implement the Global MBA marketing strategies and plans in South East Asia Region via marketing, public relations and recruitment activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES OR DUTIES
Recruitment and Counselling
1. Conduct face-to-face information sessions, seminars, telephone interviews (or by any other electronic means) that can successfully communicate with different target audiences.
2. Design and oversee the application process and related administrative matters.
3. Provide advice and support to potential candidates and new students on their career and study plans.
4. Streamline the recruitment and admission process, ensuring prospective candidates are given the support, counsel and assurance to enrolment. Follow up on applicants who defer or decline offer. Follow up and register successful applicants.
5. To report regularly to the management team on the recruitment status
Business Development
1. Provide analysis and explore possible new partners on business development, recruitment and academic development in South-east Asia Region
2. Provide timely feedback to the management on the market situations so that structural and process improvements can be made.
Marketing and Public Relations
1. Create, implement and evaluate marketing plans in line with the business plan & central marketing plan.
2. Research and identify the most appropriate promotional events to promote programmes and organise materials and representation of MBSW at them.
3. Sponsor and co-organize joint events with business partners
4. Logistic coordination for all the promotion activities such as seminars fairs etc…
5. Identify the most relevant publications for advertising and manage the media schedule, and media-related activities such as interviews pitching, retainer, artwork, writing up and translations
6. Research, analyze and evaluate marketing activity including competitor analysis, student profiling and identification of potential new markets and partners.
7. Produce regular reports and statistical evidence of marketing activity.
8. Provide Induction sessions for business partners, visitors and prospective students regarding the Centre.
The postholder is also required to:
1. Collaborate with the University and Business School marketing teams to create synergy, where appropriate.
2. Carry out other duties as required by the Centre Director
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
The person appointed should:
· Have a good standard of education, preferably at an MBA level in a marketing or business-related field. Good command of both spoken and written English.
· Have significant sales and marketing experience, including advertising, web, and copywriting.
· Have the ability to work strategically, tactically and creatively to meet agreed objectives.
· Possess exceptional marketing communication skills with the ability to write persuasively.
· Demonstrate the ability to build strong business relations with various stakeholders.
· Ability to work under pressure with a tenacious approach to problem solving.
· Self-motivated with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to manage own workload.
· Have IT skills with experience of using online marketing packages.
· Present a professional image of MBS and MBS Worldwide.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience
· Experience of working sensitively with people from different cultural backgrounds.
Degree in Marketing /Business discipline is preferred.
Minimum 6-10 years experiences in sales and marketing, adult education, familiarity with SE Asian markets.
Be self-motivated, efficient, mature, independent, outgoing, can work under pressure and attentive to details
Good communication, presentation skills and willingness to travel and flexible working overtime.
