With our continued growth, we are recruiting for an Employee Experience / Engagement Coordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, based at our new company head quarters in Basildon. The role is about embedding our company culture and values through the design and implementation of employee engagement and communications initiatives, which motivate and engage our people, and support the business to achieve its company goals. The role
The Employee Experience / Engagement Co-ordinator accepts responsibility for being seen as the heart and face of our office. The role is about embedding our company culture and values through the design and implementation of employee engagement and communications initiatives, which motivate and engage our people, and support the business to achieve its company goals. You will have a flair for innovation, and through high levels of enthusiasm, energy, focus and drive, you will see the results of your work come to life, while also having the chance to boost employee engagement levels daily.
Key responsibilities
1. To lead on employee engagement and internal comms for the business
Implementing and owning the annual employee engagement survey programme and the reporting of results.
Planning, designing and delivering an annual internal communications plan, utilising multiple communication channels to ensure the biggest impact and widest reach.
Creating the content, including drafting of all copy, imaging, and video material for engagement related internal communications.
Planning, designing and delivering an annual calendar of employee engagement activities, ensuring alignment with employee feedback to maximise engagement levels.
Promoting all internal communication and engagement channels and platforms, maximising take up and usage across the business.
Working with the Head of People to increase visibility of, and employee participation in, company initiatives that support the mental health awareness agenda. Assisting the HR team with the recruitment, training and engagement of mental health first aiders and champions.
Planning, designing and delivering an effective employee recognition programme.
Managing relationships with charity scheme providers.
Keeping up to date with available corporate charity scheme options and proposing recommendations for consideration to Head of People.
2. Employer branding
Leading on developing and communicating our employer brand, in consultation with Head of Marketing and HR Business Partner.
Owning, creating content, and making regular postings on our intranet, onboarding. and employee communication platforms.
Growing usage of, and engagement with, our Company intranet, onboarding, and employee engagement platforms.
Attending careers events, promoting Stonebridge as an employer of choice.
Supporting HR by attending and presenting at recruitment and selection events, positioning Stonebridge as an employer of choice.
Supporting new starter inductions, by making new hires aware of our non-contractual company benefits and programme of employee engagement initiatives.
3. Supporting the Head of Department
Supporting the Head of People with any other tasks and duties that are relevant to your capabilities, skills and knowledge including maintaining and monitoring the departmental budget.

Experience of previously working in an employee engagement / internal comms role.

Understanding what makes people tick and proven success in creating and delivering employee engagement initiatives.
A creative mind and a desire to seek out new ways to engage with others.
The ability to bring together groups of individuals from across all business areas to work as a team to deliver initiatives.
The ability to communicate at all levels across multiple channels.
Commutable distance from our Basildon offices – Hybrid working, min. 3 days office and 2 days from home.
